Inso, any luck in getting rid of the /td? If so, just for giggles, can you get rid of the /d also?

Back again,

Ok AE40 has been fixed and reposted for download. Sorry about the issues and delay's but know I will be here correcting them. Thank you to BTR and Red Baron for all their help in resolving the issues we had.

If anyone has any issues running, using or setting up AE please let me know ASAP either here or ICQ(faster)

Have Fun!!!

Inso out........................

Knuckles I have not done any additional work on the td yet but do plan to. Ill keep you posted. The d is almost required in some cases and avoidable by repacking so not sure why you would want to dump it??????.......

Phaser and me are running the host manager and AE 20_40. Stinger=FUN= noticed some pilots (flying without EFAMs) shooting much more stingers than possible without EFAMs. Yesterday JupMasta=FUN= figured out that the EFAM fix in AE doesn´t work correct and it seems some pilots use it.

Re: AE40....10/13/06 AE40 released..Report issues here

I also noticed the pest couple of weeks that AE1040 is tagging pilots for 8h that I know are 3H or 1h and it is puntng folks for hacked guns when they are not hacked. It is happening in the CFS server and the EFA server during a match with FUN the other night.

I have tried numerous time to reach Inso but have gotten no reply so as of 12/21 we are just going to be running only Host Manager again until the issues are fixed. The 8h and the efam bug are handled mostly through host manager, although I know some pilots exploit the vunerablity of that. If anyone tries to use hacked weapons in CFS and can't kill with anything except stings and 20 mm cannons you can go fly in CAGI so you will be able to cheat there, and have a nice day and comeback and fly again when you fly fair.

Oh yeah we are closely watching our CFS server for cheating and when we see plan out old cheating, not lag, we know the difference, you will be warned 1 time in and if you don't acknoledge the Admin warning, you will be banned and have to find somewhere else to fly. That is the only real way to stop cheaters. We can't stop cheaters from doing what they do but we can stop them from flying if our servers.LOL

I look forward to AE1050 to try it out. Maybe if we had a few more programers to help Inso we could stay ahead of these folks. We will still win out over the cheaters though!

I can help you with stopping some of the hacked weapons from the server side if you are a CO or Server Operater for a legitament Squad. If you'll PM me I'll tell you how after I confirm you are who you say you are.

Thanks for reply, Redhawk. I´m one of three commanders of FUN (MagicMan, SierraMike and Joggl) to see at http://friendssquad.proboards43.com/. Ghost and me sometimes, Phaser very often start a server. We would be glad if you can tell us how to stop hacked weapons without AE.
I´ve sent a message to Inso with a screenshot of the EFAM bug. Anyway it was a very hard work of Inso and we should honour it! I´m crossing my fingers for fixing the problems.

Yes, INSO has been a great help to all of us in C4. I know these things have to be worked out. It happens in all programing. I thank him for his work and help. And as I say look forward to the next version.

I have joined your website so I will go there and IM you with the fix.

Hey All its SD!!

Doggy id like a copy of the program as well if you don’t mind. You can PM me on the same site as joggi.

Good work sofar Inso all of the fair players in the C4 community rely on your work!! AND THAT’S A FACT.

A report on what I have noticed so far with AE1040!!

Thanks to you the “HOT GUNS” issue with the game has now been fixed!!

The effam bug has been fixed too, but unfortunately if you fly along then decide to drop your effam's (to get some where quickly) then you will be caught by the effam bug cheat warning!! Giving the impression to all in the server that you cheat!!

Also there is another serious issue that has arisen recently about the effam bug cheat. But I will have contact you separately about that. Or if I put it here then it would be a way for cheaters to easily cheat at the game again!!

And im sure we all don’t want that!!

Have a merry Xmas all, and a happy new year!!!

1st post in this thread by Inso
efam patch -->
Action)Checks to see if pilots are carrying more missiles then can be held in the bay while at not having efams.
Reaction)Nurf’s all missiles and displays an in game status message if player attempts to use.
(PLEASE NOTE **YOU MUST FIRE ATLEAST ONE MISSLE BEFORE DROPPING YOUR EFAMS OR LOAD WITHOUT THEM FROM FARP**)

Re: AE40....10/13/06 AE40 released..Report issues here

Correct, RB. I have to check for the nurfs.

BUT: It happened without an in game status message, so I thought AE didn´t detect the EFAM bug in that case. Like SoDam said, I will NOT make it public here how it works. A message including a Screenshot has been send to Inso.

@SoDam: AE Version 2040 doesn´t fix the "hotgun" issue. I was killed in FUN server by a hotgun running AE 2040. Crossing my fingers for finishing version 52.

Addition: I just checked for the EFAM bug without the game status message displayed. The last 12 stingers are nerfs, so AE still fixes the bug and I was wrong!
