If there were ever any questions about women holding their own during battle, they were answered by Pvt. Jessica Lynch!
The Washington Post reported Thursday that the 19-year-old Army supply clerk shot several Iraqi soldiers during the March 23 ambush that resulted in her capture. She kept firing even after she had several gunshot wounds, finally running out of ammunition, the newspaper said, citing unidentified U.S. officials. "She was fighting to the death," the Post quoted an official as saying. "She did not want to be taken alive."
In addition to being shot and stabbed by her captors, this young woman endured enemy torture to the following degree: starvation for eight days, two broken legs and a broken arm.
Clearly, women demonstrate the same bravery and tenacity of their male counterparts, and they should be allowed to fight, shoulder to shoulder, with men in the front lines as well as special ops.
F**k Madona... American women have a much better roll model to look up to!
