    on my laptop i have the following settings:

    Armada M700-400mhz-W95-3Com(3C589D combo PCMCIA )
    Im using TCP/IP ( 3Com 3c589d )192.168.0.2 and adapter ( 3Com 3c589d )
    bindings (TCP/IP ) 3Com 3c589d with microsoft client setting and sharing printer and files.
    identification : Laptop-Workgroup-Laptop

    On my PC : P2-350mhz-W98 -adapter Realtech RTL8029PCI ethernetPCI. bindings ( TCP /IP RTL8029PCI )ethernetPCI ) with microsoft client setting and sharing printere and files.

    Settings:TCP/IP->Realtech RTL8029 PCI
    TCP/IP 192.168.0.1
    Identification: Computer-Workgroup-Gateway

    Heres my problem i can see my PC on global network and the shared C disk but i cant see the laptop. Also i cant ping the laptop.

    On Laptop i cant even see itself on its globalnetwork ? with all different settings i keep getting cant search network?

    I already reinstalled PCMCIA and communication conections on W95/98 but still the same ?

    I pinged ( 127.0.0.1 - 127.0.0.2), both PC and Laptop for their Network card instalation and they were ok

    I checked cable if it was proper Crosslink and it is.

    Im lost can someone help me out?

    Hi just talked to my wife she is a tech, she suggested that you get the one system you have 95 on and upgrade to 98. Your dchp is to old and upgrades for 95 are obselete and no virus programs available. If you do get it going the 95 will be very unstable, hope this helps a bit.

    Could be a hardware conflict between the card and something else in the comp - maybe sound or video card?
