    To set it up so people can sign up and add information to the page for like the tourneys on my website.

    I am not an expert on mysql databases, but I do know sql commands that you can use to interact with the database. Do you already have a database setup? If so, let me know exactly what you need to do and I can try and point you in the right direction.

    mysql

    Hey, no I haven't set up a database yet but I am working on it now and I will let you know what I need help with after I do it....I have found a lot of information on the internet to step me through it but I might still need some help.

    another good php/mysql tutorial is web monkey

    but i'm thinking there is an easier way to do what you want, rather than create it from scratch. maybe using a forum based portal such as the one that phpbb offers (see dfarena.com) as an example. or possibly gossamer threads.
