I get this error when starting up comanche 4,If i dont close the window i can play the game,if i close the window it shuts the game down
What in tarnation is the problem

If you are running Win98 or 2000...

From start-->run --> type --> sfc and let system file checker check for bad or missing files.

Also, make sure your system is cooling enough and the power supply is working properly. Also, you might check your ram seating...
