    SMOKE POTS

    hey guys the help with my latest post was great thx for the help i'll post the new list of wav file soon as i get them typed out for ya's.

    Game topic DF2

    My next topic is on the smoke genorators in the mission editor lol i can get them to burn for about 15 yo 20 seconds looks really cool but is there a way i can get them to burn longer or at least reset them selfs so they burn continuosly.I have set up a event so that when group 3 smoke finishes they switch to group smoke 4 and have the reset set for 1 sec but to no avail.Is this possible and if not thx for the help anyways.

    look at the tutorial for erea triggers . i would have a erea trigger around the whole battel field . i would make the event like this . if this is for DM make the spans group1 blue team make smoke pot it's own group . event this way

    {if} group1 is alive
    {then}kill group- smoke pot grp X and reset 0 just check the reset box . this should do it in order for a event to reset ya must check the reset box for that event hope this helps

    ok after spending about an hr on this subject w/df2 editor v1.43a it is not possible to do what ya want . i tried what i suggested nope . then i opened the .mis for map in word pad and tried to adjust the attation span movetimer crouch timer and so on nope . when ya make a change in note pad ya must savee as same .mis, reopen map in the editor and save export then check for change . srry buddy but i dont think n/l wanted us to control this function

    Rgr i tried my self on you suggestion and i have also gone through the mis file when i first started.It was a good thought and thank you very much for your time with this subject.I'll just have to find something else to play around with lol.Now off the topic i made this little map for my testing and its coming along good i test alot.I have a train that comes out of a tunnel but it has to be triggered first by me.Then when its triggered it moves to a train station.At the same time a transport truck moves down the road and crosses the track and heads towards the staion to drop off a Guar and a hostage whos yelling for help and the guard marches him in to the train station where the drug lord is.LOL mean while the train is still moving forward and when it comes to the train crossin g it stops which triggers 2 vehicles to move one going east and one west and the collide on the train crossing blowing both up.When they blow up that triggers a heli which is way off in the distance to fly in to the station are dropping off some for drug lords and triggering a herc to fly over and parachuting in mor drug lords.
    And thats about it for now Wish there was some copss in here so i could do i big drug lord bust lol

    right on sounds like ya been playn with the editor alot . df troops are the cops lol sounds like a great s/p or coop map for public dnld when ya have it finished

    RGR i was just building a test map jsut for testing things like what i can do with things and how to make things trigger each other.I can also make a S&D map where the players need to steal the other teams vehcles and get awarded the points for it and the other team can steal it back More or less its a race to the finish to see who can steal the vehicles the fastest to scor the points lol you can also shoot them and score points..Now lol back on the subject of the smoke i figured it out but its really hard to explain it is there away i can up load just a small map with only the smoke on it.so if people want they can down load it and see how its done.And if they want it in a map of there own for some cool effect all they have to do is open it on the sedcond page of the editor and copy and past it .

    thats nice but if they copy and paste they must do event same way you have the event set up . the event dont copy and paste over
