    Directx 9.0

Any comments on that matter would be a benefit for other users.

Should I install it??? Is there a difference witn 8.1 ???

It looks that they added shaders and the water quality is mutch better, but do you need a powerfull videocard ( like a TI 4200 or a ATI 9700) to get a better improvement???

Merci, à bientôt et à la prochaine )

    DX9

I just installed the final DX9 release and i can no longer enable AGP texture Acceleration in the DXDiag , I could on DX8.1??? , I've reinstalled VIA hyperion 4in1 drivers but no good , I was wondering if this is meant to be disabled?? i cant see why it would be though. Should i go back to DX8.1 or is there some thing i can do to fix it.

I downloaded and am running DirectX 9.0 on my old computer... Pentium III processor with a Diamond Viper 750 Plus Vid card using NVIDIA's RIVA TNT2 drivers. I haven't experienced any problems with the new DirectX and plan to install it on my new computer system, once I replace the burned out Power Supply.

I would wait for more proof if I were you to with a new system, not worth the hassels if it messing anything up. Me, I'm just the kid of person who goes, "Ah something new, lets insrtall it!" but if it messes anything up I'm also the kind of person who goes, "Re-format...No problem!"

    dx9

LOL well i dont like having to reinstall , and guess what DX9 nothing but troubles for me , 1st no AGP accel , ok i can live with that , then i get directinput errors with mech4 that i never used to get in dx8.1 , bugger this i say , i'll do a system recovery and reinstall dx8.1.
Ha , i should have stayed with dx9 and forgotten about mech4 , oh man during system recovery i couldnt get past control box setup , always a rundll.exe error , lol i had to do a fresh install , and then windows would see my 128mb GF3 ti200 but dx8.1 would only see 2mb , OMG! Anyway enough bitching , I am going to wait for 9.1 before i change 8.1 again lol , let this be yet another warning to me , if it aint broke dont fix!

Alright, thank you all for responding......

After after questioning myself again and again, should I install the 9.0 or wait the 9.1..........

I made the move I downloaded the sucker ans installed it..........

    Guess what......................IT WORKS WELL..........

I have seen improvement and getting better quality in explosions and water quality ))

Now Im thinking of upgrading my videocard from a 64 to a 128 mgb

    dx9

i discovered why , i was having all sorts of probs , its just funny that it seemed to start when i installed dx9 , bad stick of mem in the 1st slot , it would see it , but have probs using it ???? , i dunno , i pulled both 128mb sticks out and stayed with the single 512mb and no more probs , i can install latest drivers again, lol unreal , i never would have thought if i didnt start getting out of memory errors when i still had over 650mb free , oh well , thanks for your help ppl , i might evan be game to try dx9 again , hmmmm , on second thoughts lol maybe not
