Hi,
Maybe you found that the missiles fired by Ka-50 and Mi-28 are impossible to dodge. Here is the reason why.
I used the pff extractor tool to read the ammo definition file. In early versions (1.0.0.8 and 1.0.0.12), missiles track you with the turn rate of 10 deg/sec, that's why you could evade them in earlier versions. But in the latest version, this figure is changed to 120 deg/sec. May be this is a typo of the programmer, but never got fixed.
In the real world, missile without thrust vectoring (AIM-9E-L) could turn at 10-20 deg/sec. Missiles with thrust vectoring (aim-9x) could finish a 180 deg turn in 2.5 seconds, but that is not part of the comanche 4 simulation. So I changed AI missile turn rate to 25-30deg/sec to adjust missiles to their real world counterparts. Now missiles track you better than those in earlier versions, but at a reasonable performance and you still could outmaneuver them if you do it correctly.
Download the patch from here and paste the file in the game folder, let it overwrite the file with the same name:
