Sorry dude, I quit last Friday.
JK. I haven't played in quite a while.
Look up the group on FB.
Wow i missed c4 too, haven't played probably over a year or more. I want to reinstall it and if the login on nova is not working, well then might as well not bother installing it again.
Yeah, what Haze said. LOL
May a song always touch u in a possitive way.
Haven't played in years but do miss it at times. The next best thing I found has been Arma2. I've tried to re-install C4 but for some reason it just won't install properly on Windows 7. surprised to see that people are still involved with this game since it's pretty old now. For what it was it was defiantly one of the best games going for it's time.
Win 7 incompatibility! Thanks was wondering about that. Tossed some of my my ol' xp era tech in anticipation of a win 7/8 machine but have not found good enough reason to go new and if there is a work-around u c4umites would have found one I suspect. Solution=re-horde a couple first gen dual cores with XP cause' few publishers seem motivated to out-do C4,Mechwarrior 3/4, Freespace 2, Homeworld 2 or even funkier games like Aquanox 2 or Bet On Soldier. Either that or I'm missing something, which does happen. So thanks for the Arma2 tip. Custom mounted joysticks with mouse-look, underground moding communities, maintaining old gear . .I guess I like to play games the hard way.
Yes, My buddy and I play almost every Friday around 9 pm pst. Come join us sometime! we're pretty much the only ones out there!
Yup...just installed it a couple of days ago! I just registered here to reply to you.
I used to play novalogic games long ago, but my pc died & we switched to mac. Recently bought a couple of laptops running Windows 7, & got the games installed & running on these newer laptops.
I was able to get the games working by installing them on Windows 7 machines, then going to the .exe file on my harddrive & right clicking it to bring up properties, then choosing compatibility, then selecting Windows XP2 (I'm currently trying Windows 98 / ME option), and checking "Run as Administrator" at the bottom of the box. Click Apply & OK.
After getting the game running, I went to the Novalogic website & manually downloaded the game update for Comanche 4 (as well as LandWarrior & Task Force Dagger), & followed the instal instructions (games were not able to update themselves using the update button within the games).
After updating, I was then able to connect to NovaWorld & play online, as well as play on my cpu using Windows 7 (acting as Windows XP SP2, or as Windows 98 / ME)!
Let me know if I can help (I also got Delta Force Land Warrior & Delta Force Task Force Dagger installed, updated, & working on the computer as well as online thru NovaWorld).
Great games that were ahead of their time. Now I just need a little faster internet connection!!!!

I only see 2 worlds to play in on novaworld, & they look like they only allow 2 players each.
I tried hosting a game for 4 players & it seemed to work.
Let me know if anyone else wants to play online.
Hi! (first, sorry for bad english )
I want to play online, too.
Found my old C4 CD very dusty while i was cleaning up my room. Thounght it should be no problem to get it working on my Win7 notebook, to keep the old times alive and have a nice time. It was a great time playing with Moskito, maybe somebody knows him.
Today ive just setup the notebook. Maybe next days i can run a new VM on my "small" homeserver and host game with more than 2 slots. Internet connection should be fast enough to run smoothly.
Where do you players came from? Im from Germany. Maybe timedifference will be a problem...
Witch maps and serversettings do you prefer?
regards
Misterix
Hi Misterix,
I'm in the US. I'd be willing to play any map, & I don't know what server settings would be best.
If you want to play online in the maps that are working now, just let me know. I will probably be playing this weekend.
Kind Regards,
Novauser
Good news on WIN7 . . .thanks for your detailed instructions. Maybe a dual boot machine is an option also? Just added a Win XP P4 HT mini-tower to my collection and set up a LAN party in my humble nerdcave to play Enemy Territory:Quake Wars and only needed one DVD on the server itself for multiple players. Now it's time to plug-in the stick and C4 into the mini-tower for the real test.
On the US west coast and wish I could play but connection to slow. Please set that server up, play and keep us posted.
I've often wondered how much stealth and small loud-outs comes into play in C4 online. Maybe my connect would be enough to spectate, assuming there is a C4 spectator mode.
