What part of this corrects the issue? What part of this says U will not run this server? What part of this says your team respects the will of the community and will not run the things allowed in the last server? or in ours..?
You have done nothing, but tell us you wont allow them during the week. That Sir, is a shame.... and an admission that you allow them, and that it was your team's server, you blamed me... for calling out to begin with....

I have had a very busy weekend, but now I can get round to answering your questions.

1, I will never allow the use of cheats in a match.
2, I will never allow the use of cheats in a normal game including any other server.
3, The squad –RCS- respects the will of the wider community.

4, it is a well-known fact that cheats and hacks are a part of C4 and unfortunately, this won’t change.

5, so with that in mind, what we are doing is actually taking the cheaters/hackers away from the normal servers.
So all can enjoy C4 again.

Normal players (who do not know the password) will not be allowed to play in this “weapons test” server.

Only people who want to show off their hacks and cheats (and who know the password) will be allowed to play in this server.

So, enter this server at your own risk (that’s why the password is “risk”)

Under no circumstances do I personally condone the use of hacks and cheats!!

However, providing a place where the hackers/cheaters can go, actually gives the rest of C4 a welcome break from them.

This is an initiative that I wish was thought of sooner.

I realize that -RCS- are running a huge risk and can be labled as cheaters or heros, but if it helps keep the cheater/hackers away from normal C4 servers, then it's a price worth paying!!

fine and dandy to have a server for the hackers, but quickly that server will populate more often than the rest, and it will pull in other players which would join other servers otherwise, so they will have to coordinate to join a different server or just join the one where everyone else happens to be. and as much as i wish it were not the case, the hack server will be most likely to have players most of the time.....

thats the most probable outcome i see for this!

and as far as people who like to cheat, if they do it in one server, they will do it in any server. it was only about 4 years ago i lived this tale. trust me ive been down this road.

I'd listen to the vets on this one Dad and either let it go, or keep the server lock and never speak of it publicly again.

And see if the community is ready for a C4 weapons mod such as the BHD Terra-Nova Mod (I think thats the name) that gave you a couple of new weapons.

Also you guys that run servers can very easily Nerf those hacked weapons. (PM me for details).

You can block my 500 and 56 Stingers hacks as well as 30mm, and 50cal hacks by turning off GUNS and Hydras in the server settings. Turning off 1 or the other is pointless, both and you stop 99% of them!

Thats the only sure fire way of killing it!

I would gladly give up the gun battles for clean play!

and BTW i witnessed the 30mm exe hack from a player just last night. not naming any names.

OK... Enough of this. You want the story.. here it is.. and I have the emails to back it up.

He was originally banned because he was on DIAL UP and was laggin our server down so badly it was disrupting game play. No other reason...
I told him that I would allow him back, when he got DSL or cable. When He did, he was re-admitted.

Then he was called about his long range "seeing" abilities, so I sent this mail to one of his mates; "I am about to ban your son again... What ever he's running he needs to quit. Two fog maps and he's shooting us from another zip code. I called him on it and got no response. If I catch him shooting long in the fog, I'll ban his butt again! TD is a HACK and so is NOFOG.. and he knows that.

The reply was this: "He knew how everyone felt about using TD back in the CON days when SAI let it out. If thats what he's doing, then bann his ass."

Our Team pays for this server, it is a commercial server, and no one has a right to get in it, but our members.. if that's the decision.

His mouth.. is his mouth; believe what you will. But he will stay banned until he starts playing without his mouth and without TD or whatever he's got. It's bad when even the Italian calls him a cheat.

I could care less about his statements, what he has to say, or his supposed flying abilities.

The ban stays.

Sounds pretty clear to me. Fog maps - and someone using passive ? Nah, I don't think so. Sorry. I think I've heard enough.

Besides, as Rotor has restated - it is a Team server, they don't have to let anyone play.

Well here we go again …. for 1 Thing I DONT KNOW HOW TO DO ANY FILE CHANGING IN C4 …in all the Squads that I’ve been part of, my C.Os knew that I NEVER used Hacks/Cheats.

Now just yesterday there was someone asking me to try out one of them new so called “MODS” and I Said “NO, MY C4 FILES ARE RIGHT OFF THE DISK AND NOTHING ELSE AND THAT’S WHERE THEY ARE GOING TO STAY”

Now as far as you saying that I was shooting YOU from long distance because I was using TD or No Fog hack. IF I was running the TD or the no fog thing on that particular day that I was flying, what difference would that have done since your server didn’t /doesn’t run any fog maps on there anyway. So I have no idea what you are talking about.

The ONLY Email or Message I got from you was that Email about my Dial-Up “Slowing down your server” which you know **** well that was NOT the case on my part, because you told me yourself that C4 was made for Dial-up. You just didn’t like THE fact that I was kicking your butt and so you made up that stupid excuse, and so now that I got DSL and a new computer, came back into your server and kicked your sorry butt from one end of the map to the other, and now you come up with this Crap about TD and No Fog hacks, so you SHOW US, SHOW ME THE PROOF that I was “cheating”

One of the reasons why I got out of RCS was because some members where testing MODs, HACKS, and or Cheats and changing the C4 files to enable them. I for one will NOT have anything to do with that. as I DO NOT CHEAT, NEVER HAVE (for the past 8 years), and NEVER WILL.

I’m just here to play and have fun but, It’s sad to see that you are NOT here for that, and even more so when you try to promote honor and good sportsmanship. YET when your name isn’t at the top of the list at the end of the game you make up excuses to ban people (GOOD PLAYERS) from your server, Players like myself that took the time to play the game to improve my skills and become A better pilot. That shows what kind of a person you really are. So instead of going around telling people how to run their servers why don’t you go back to yours and try to work on your pilot skills.

So, you can ban me and other people from your server for whatever the reason , HECK you can continue to isolate yourself and your server from the rest of us for all I care. I wouldn’t wanna go back into your sever and play with anyone the likes of you anyway. I just wanted to let everyone here know what kind of a person you really are.

In all fairness to Viper, I get a different understanding when I read this statement. To me, it sounds like he's saying I kiil you at long distance when there is no fog in a map, and the server wasn't running fog maps. In other words, the fog makes no difference, I always get the best of you in clear day or fog.

You two seem to be contradicting each other in your recollection.

I can't see how the use of TD can be proved or disproved, It seems just to be a matter of taking ones word or a matter of trust that one uses it or not. I mean you can't prove it by taking a screenshot, as if it was using sidewinders and a screenshot could capture the pink fireball and black smoke, thereby proving the use of a cheat or hack.

I say just leave this alone for now. It doesn't appear the ban will be lifted.

I hope someday we can all get along again and fly in all the servers that are up.

Everyone had their say, This became to personal with names, squads and other crap brought up.

This thread should have taken place on squad sites between the players involved. Airing this to the rest of the community broke the main rules CPD has had in place for years.

It's locked now. Any one who wants keep going can do it somewhere else
