The Next Comanche 4

As a community, if we are going to Petition NOVALOGIC to give us a new helicoper game we need as many players as possible to be behind this !.
The first step is to get every body one the same page. So over the next 2 weeks please take the following steps:

#1
Those of you that are a member of a squad need to contact the rest of your members tell them to come read the thread and post, even if it's just to put their call sign in so they know what's going on and we get an idea of the number of players who can post to the petition at Nova.

Those of you who still fly the servers need to put the word out to those players. Get them in here to post so we know the word is out.

Every body needs to contact every former player you have an email or im connection for, This mean your old squad makes, members of other squads and any player that ever played C4 you can contact.

Those of you that have always used the login bypass to play or have not logged in recently and have had your account deleated by NOVALOGIC will need to register an create a new account at NOVALOGIC, You can create an account with your C4 key. I know because I already tested it.

It this point I want to give the community a few weeks to get the word out before we start the campain to nag Nova for a new game. While players are being contacted I will go get as many email addresses for NOVALOGIC as I can find.

Just a few more things:
First Blue runs the forum here I am just one of the members. Any one who has any better ideas to try and get Nova to give us a new game is welcome to put them forward.

Personally I just want Nova to give us an updated Helicopter arcade game. I am not looking to ask them for it to be built on the new game engine their working on now. With that said It might be a good idea to post some things the community would like in the game.

I think to get our point across to Nova we are looking at more than just the petition and a few emails, for this to work we will need keep sending them emails and bugging them un-till they tell us to stop.

Thinking of finding the answers and posting links to them here... if they are still flying, they can help in the effort.

I just aske for a revamp or a new hellicopter combat game on the nova site. I recomend others do the same but try not to create a account using a pirated key. If nova gets 10 request and 4 of them are from people whom have pirate copies that is hardly going to encourage them to create a new Hellicopter combat game like c4. I think that one of the reasons they stopped with c4 was because there were more pirated copies than purchased ones. This is hardly a motivating thing for a business to spend more money on delevopment when sales dry up. Remember you don't pay game programmers minimum wage.

Granted every one should have a legit copy of the game, I have 3. How ever I don't beleive Nova hasn't made another C4 because of pirated copies.

The truth is Nova is a small company. Since C4 was released they put out BHD, Joint Ops with exspantions for them. Then DFX and DFX 2. They also got fined for using un-reg copies of software photoshop ect.

They bought a major motion capture program and either bought or built a new game engine.

Keep in mind there were other communities for the games with fighter jets, tanks and a space shooter all released before C4. Chances are nova put all there eggs in one basket by putting out 3 games with cross veh action, something the Nova community asked for. It would take less resources to do it that way.

I think what we need to show Nova is we want another heli game and there are enough of us to make it worth their time to do it.

What do you think is the best way to try and persuade NL to release a new game?

Should be fairly easy to port/build on an existing engine.Especially if said engine already has flyable/controllable choppers in it already like BHD/JO's.Scale the existing tunnels up add a bunch of the Bldgs vehicles and decorations from all previous games.Then one could operate in campaigns around the globe from jungle to to city environments an everything in between.And of course include the mod tools from the gitgo.Could be a cash cow if done right.I dont see a what do you want in a helo game thread yet?Think we need one?
Now a question for you programming guru's...
How hard would it be to convert BHD to a chopper game.Restricting or removing controllable ground forces and enlarge the tunnels ? Import whatever that can be ported into the BHD engine with the BHD mod tools?
I've been itching to make some stuff since now that I am laid off for a bit.
