It was suggested to me that by cloning humans you could harvest organs and use them for the original host. Any moral issues with that ? That should kick start the thread.

I don't think it should be done, but the fact that it is being tried, might prove either catastrophic or beneficial to mankind.
Obviously i can't see the future but imagine a world where basically life means nothing because you have the power to clone each and every individual, whether it be for replacement parts, or to send them to war( hmm interesting concept).
But what about the clone has that being no rights to live once "born" would it not have any life whatsoever, just existing for the sake of their organs that might be needed, would they be taught at all. However although i'm not for cloning people as such, if they could clone organs alone that would funtion i wouldn't have a prob with that, but not individuals.
As it turns out, the news release was a HOAX... It seems the members just wanted their organization to get its "15 minutes" in the spot light of the news media.
This reminds me of the movie a long while back...I think it was Coma. But is it not true that you don't need a clone for organ harvesting ? All we really need are stem cells... and an 'acceptable' way of getting them so that research can become mainstream.
There was a movie a long time ago, about cloning people for spare parts. They keep the clones secluded somewhere, and made them eat heathy and exercise all day.
Don't recall the name of it though![]()
