Was wondering if anyone might know how I could fix this without having to reinstall the whole game. When I get the screen that shows the list of servers, it's all broken up and I can't hardly read it. Even to see how many people are in the servers is difficult to make out. (which doesn't look like it here because the servers all say 0)

Player manager will fix this just down load it from here!!

I have the same problem too long time, i found the problem is you have good gafikcard but older Monitor (Screen) with AGP connection?
But your Gafikcard have two connections DVI and AGP, is the right?

With C4 this is a clear type font issue. It happens with both xp and vista. To fix it you need to reset font type to standard.
Go to Display/Appearance/effects and select standard

sounds like maybe you have had some experience with Vista. Have you installed and played C4 on Vista?
I'm asking because I bought a Dual Core that came with Vista and I am having some issues with it. I installed the game, updated, etc., imported my profile over from Logitech's Profiler, but for some reason the JS won't work. Only a couple buttons work on it. The trigger, the throttle and one of the buttons pauses the game. Other than that, can't get it to work like it does on XP.
any suggestions?
I have played C4 on Vista, How ever I use a logitech stick and did not import a profile. I installed the vista driver for my stick and then created a new profile.
I did how ever turn off some of the vista security such as user account control to make it easier to instal programs. and I ran the stick as administrator.
As a foot note I am not happy with Vista for gamming for any game you need to run as xp service pack 2 or for other older programs. So I bought another hard drive and a copy of XP and set up a dual boot machine. I do not run older games in vista now I use xp on the game machine (desk top pc} at home. I do how ever use a vista notebook out of town at least once a week. I do run older games on it. But mostly first person shooters and seldom multiplayer. Vista runs them ok> I have not had the problems other people I talk to with Vista. For new programs, TV, Music, Video and other stuff I like it better than XP.
As a warning to any gammers who decide to follow suit you need to put xp on a differnt physical hard drive from XP. Then disable the vista hard drive in xp. So xp does not see it. Or xp will remove vista system restore points in Vista.
So do not repartition vista to add xp to the same hard drive.
At this time I have 4 partitions on the vista machine. 2 partitions each hard drive. The hard drive with vista is disabled in XP, So it does not see 2 partitions. This way I can use the newer video card and faster proc and not use vista for older programs.

Sounds like a really good option. How do you disable Vista on the XP Drive once this is all done? Just so happens I've got a couple extra HDD sitting here, think I'll go with this Dual Boot.
Heres how I would set up the duel boot:
Step 1 shrink the vista partition, create a new partion on that hard drive. Use that partition to store Vista utiltys and Docs. You will not be able to access this hard drive or either partition from XP, so never put any thing on it you need from XP. Vista will run better if that stuff isn't stored in the OP system. Not important but if you are going to go to the trouble to set it up, mite as well do it rite.
Step 2 Instal the second hard drive. Create 2 partitions on that hard drive. instal XP on 1 partition. This will be used for all programs, games you run from XP. On the last partition you will store general docs, music, pictures, video and any thing you need to access from both OP sytems.
Don't laugh I had the new desk top a week and followed directions from a tech site before I knew about xp messing up vistas system restore and had to refomat both hard drives and do a complete reinstal of both OPs systems.
Boot into XP, open the device manager and disable the drive Vista is on. That will protect sytem restore in Vista.
Now any thing like printers, scanners and any program you will run from both Op systems needs to be installed on each system you will use it from. You can not run a program or service from XP installed in Vista and vice verca. Instal all programs and games into the partition they will run from. they run faster from there than the storage partitions.
Another thing to keep in mind is Vista is not as friendly as XP. If you need to remote admin the pc. So if you have to remote access the pc to run a server or access files make sure you set XP as the default OP to start up so you can reboot. IE you wouldn't want to reboot the PC to serve a game and then have Vista load as default.
If you get this far and need a way to remote admin let me know and I will tell you a free program you can use.
This is all easier than it looks and if you can instal windows and a hard drive this is with your abilitys
Okay, just want to make sure I cover my butt here so I don't screw this up.
After shrinking Vista and creating a second partition, I throw a second hard drive in as slave correct? Then format/partition/load XP to it. This pc came with a 400Gig Sata ll hard drive. 10Gig recovery partition and the rest is OS partition. Any recommendations on the shrinking/partitioning sizes? (Don't worry, it's got 3 Gig DDR2 ram to push all this)
Will XP have all the drivers and everything that is required for this machine? Being a Dual Core? I've created a backup dvd just in case
Also, I've seemed to have forgotten how this part was done but how do I store Vista utiltys and Docs on the new, second partition? (unless you are referring to the system Paging File - found in the Virtual Memory section)

Ok on the Vista drive do not format the recovery partition. U may need it to reinstal windows at some point. That means you will have 3 partitions on that hard drive.
I didn't need to set 1 drive as the slave with a jumper. You do need to create a Dual Boot Menu. Follow this link and you will find a utilty to do that for you and helps explain how to do the whole set up. Only diff is they have both OP systems on the same hard drive.

I started Vista and Xp both from the disks while I figured this out. Set the default Op system in the bios. ie pressing F12 { I think to enter start up} Once I wanted Xp to be the default OP system for me.
As for partition size that depends on what you use the PC for. Since all general docs, music and items you would place in my documents type folders will go on the empty partition of the Xp drive. So you can access it from both OP systems that needs to be the biggest storage partition. How ever if you tend to instal alot of games and programs keep the OP systems large enough to hold them with 1/4 free space left so the games and programs run well.
The utilitys I was talking about are the instal program files you keep as a back up, ie the programs and utilitys you down load and have no disk for. All games and programs are installed into the OP system partitions.
You can leave the default my docs, music folders alone in both OP systems. You can still use them. The idea behind storage partitions is that windows doesn't defrag all those files or mess with them unless you tell it to. This helps windows run faster.
To use the storage partitions you just open them like any other drive. They will each have there own drive letter. Just like the recovery partition should.
You can drop and drag files in and out, copy and paste just like you can on the partitions with the OP systems installed. Just create folders and use them to put your files in.
Ok now about drivers. You will need to down load them for items such as sound card, and video, Net work maybe. Your disk drives should instal ok as windows has default drivers for those.

Well, finally had time tonight to sit down and attempt this but I must say, I'm a little frustrated. One, the pc won't recognize the 40Gb drive that I wanted to use for the XP install. So, I shrank the partition on the 400Gb, and made 3 other partitions. So, now I have two partitions for the Vista install and two partitions for the XP install. But, I can only boot the pc up with the XP install cd because the computer didn't come with a Vista Install DVD. When I boot up with the XP cd in the drive, it wants to install XP to the C partition which already has the Vista on it.
What am I doing wrong?
Nothing this in normal your just not done yet. You need to create the multi boot manager.
Ok To boot into Vista try pressing F2 at the bios flash screen. Before start up, just as if you were going to boot to safe mode. There you be able to choose a Op system to boot in to.
Choose Vista then go on line and down load and instal the vista boot manager In the link from the last part of the thread.
Since you don't have the Vista disk Before you go any father I would check if the vista set up you have lets you create reinstal disks, ie HP and compac often work this way. If so create them. So if vista gets bungled you can reinstal it.
After using the vista boot manager and you should get a multi boot screen when you reboot. Let me know if pressing F2 doesnt give you the option of both Op systems.
I had the same problem with the fuzzy fonts on my Nova server screen, ends up it was the beers I drank when i flew C4
