Yeah, well, I think CFS is skeered of me.
Seriously though, here is a thought. Nova makes enemies (with their uncompromising stance on lack of support and updates ) so they may have been the victims of some idiots resorting to a ddos attack or something - and may s-l-o-w-l-y opening up their ports to everyone joining to play - not attack. A webhost hosting a site I run did this when they were attacked.
My IP was changed now by my ISP-support ( i have a static IP).
After that i can join again !
I had no changes made in the software - only my IP changes ...!
The packet-log shows that my connection (with the old IP) was refused from Novaworld.
Many thanks for your help !
Just got this message from one of my own pilots with the same issue:
"called bellsouth dropped my static ip and whent to a dynamic ip shut down modem for 15 min came back on line problem fixed."

Well what do you know. It looks like Nova does ban cheaters IPs.
You have to know most european ISPs always give a new IP after relogging in. Same happens after a simple reboot of windows and the problem has been fixed to some of these pilots. Others, like Ghost=FUN= and Zigmaz=FUN=, get a static IP and first have to contact their ISP for asking to get a new IP. I´m crossing my fingers for them.
If you have a DSL connection you should be able to reset your IP by unplugging the power to your modem. Wait about a minute and plug it back in. Unless you have a static IP. I know with my ISP you would have to request that and they charge you extra for it. So most DSL users should have a dynamic IP.
Cable connections are a little harder. You would have to contact your ISP and have them change the IP from there end in most cases. I've never had a cable connection but I wouldn't think they would complain to much about changing it.
From the novalogic technical personal they do not ban IP Addresses. They claim there is no hacks in c4 to warrant it. Hahahahaha!

The issue was resolved today with the last pilot getting in tonight. A big kudos goes out to Nova Tech support(yes, Nova) who listened to our single pilots concern, and after several emails and contacts, reset the C4 servers today and corrected the issues. It seems they reset them last Saturday night and that started this whole mess.
Today, Nova put the concerns of a single pilot on the priority list, which helped build a feeling of goodwill with this pilot, this squad, and hopefully this C4 community.
So I guess it wasnt a "banned cheaters IP" issue after all.

I think it all started back in Dec. 06, you have to hand it to them, thats real good support, one in 6 yrs if they did do some thing. That guy back in Dec. has sent them an e-mail every week end and still no answer from them, he will be back this week end will see if he can get in.
Let us know if he still has the issue.
I gave a friend my extra C4 disc(from the Armed Forces pack) and he had to do the ibrowse.dll update to join a server(server page would show put couldnt join). That CD is already V.20(out of the box)and I know if you try to update that version using the old V.15 update from Nova it can cause issues.
It took 2-3 phone calls to Nova support and the same amount of emails but they did fix our issue.

Maybe when they see what g2games is up to maybe they will do some thing with C4 or maybe a C5 it would be nice.
