Terrain Views

I was wondering if the was a pic somewhere in the pff files that showed the height and depth views of the terrains. Been a while since I've used the C4 med editer. And with all the new terrains and things available now I can't remember what anything looks like. So I was trying to get a pic for the color, depth and height view and put ecerything together so you can kind a see what your picking. I've found all the TGA files for the color view but the height and depth I'm coming up empty. I'm thinking I'll probably need to take screenshots to get them but figured I'd ask anyway.

Also working on getting views of all the tile files together. With 24 tile sets I can never remember them either.

OK I searched through the pff files a little better. I did find more files that go with each terrain but still not sure how to get some of the views. I found the raw file thats kind a like the height view but in black and white. I can run a colorize option on it in PSP and add the green hue that you see in the med editer. I also found another tga and a pcx file that I have no idea what to do with. So I can get the color and height views but am at a loss on the depth view.

The green filter should work for the hieght view.
Try the posterize filter in psp use a low number see if that gets you close.May have to have a ss or the med open to get as close as possable.Once you find the number that works it should work for all of them.Hope that helps.

Well I gave up on messing with the color settings. Just started opening each terrain in the med and getting a screenshot in each view. And I figure since WATKINS & Rüstinsk did the original terrain viewer for all the stock terrains I'll just worry about the new ones. LOL That cuts out 114 screenshots I would have to get.

Will be setting this up in an HTML format so it will run off your browser. Have a thumbnail on the main page and link to the three views. Hopefully get it finished up in the next day or so.
