This will take more than 1 or 2 days. This will likely take a greater part of a week. We are instituting some major changes to the mod, as well as stopping the updating of the MOD.

People have voiced concerns of having no idea which version they need to use on their server or which version they need to join a server. This will stop with this update. There will be a single version of the MOD available here at Checkpointdelta.

On a side note:

I am not really sure how optimizing the pff's could be causing integrity failure of a file inside the .pff's as the opt command only appears to optimize the reference tables inside the pff, not the files themselves ---- unless someone has a corrupted pack.exe in their current install of C4. I may be wrong about this, but I have encountered none of these errors when using the optimize.bat.

Zak,That would be good if you can e-mail them, or if they are on CPD I could link to them on our website if that is OK. I thank you for helping. I enjoy the new maps and you and BTR and Reaper have gotten 2 of our pilots involved in map making with the tools you have offered here on your site. C4 may not be what it used to be but, I think maybe it will be around for a while with new stuff to offer thanks to ya'll.

After the mod is updated, the files you are attempting to 'update' with will very likely not be enough. There are more changes going on inside the C4ExP than the replacement of some files here or changes in the files there. As I stated in my previous post, it would be best to consider what you guys are running now as a beta. When the final ExP is released this week, copy your c4plyr.sav file and any other files you wish to keep (mis, bms, startup.htm, etc) to another directory, uninstall C4 completely and erase the directory. Under no cirucumstances should any of the pff files be kept. Then, do a clean install, update and install the MOD. This is the ONLY way that you can be assured that something does not get lost or mistakenly overwritten.

As for linking files directly to CPD, that is not an option from a remote site. Sorry, but 'hotlinking' to our files has been disabled.

I am sorry for the inconvenience, but rest assured... many things are coming to fruition after some patient waiting by the C4 community. We are also putting a big effort into Version Control. This will help at finding problems with more speed and efficiency, among other things.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience, but this was our first release of this magnitude - and the events of the last month have been harsh and fast paced task masters in learning the 'ins and outs' of offering a large MOD.

I don't know if anybgody else has noticed this or not. Was looking through the map editer with the mod and was looking at the terrain dmds2. It shows fine with the color view. But the highth and depth views only show a black screen. Not sure if it's missing files or what but thought i would try and mention it before the updated download was finished.
