Enviroment problems with C4 mission Editor

The only enviroment that I can get to work is daytime, even if I pick dusk or whatever. The rain won't work or anything, has any one got an answer to this? It would greatly be appreciated.

Rain doesnt work in C4, As for the evns you pick in the med. You need a fixed bin file so they work. Or you need to edit the mis file by hand. As for night time missions, you can simulate that with dark fog set to around 300 meters the closer you set it the darker the map. Anther option is to create a new night time evn file how ever other players would need the file to see it.

If you want the fixed bin file let me know and i will send you 1.

    Me again.

Yes Reaper, I would like the fixed bin file. Thank you very much. One other question, I downloaded several of the terrains from CPD, but when I host them everyone that tries to come in either get a sys dump or get some polygon error, do you happen to know anything about that?? again! LOL

It is because they also need the terrain.

Reaper, if you want to send the .bin file, I'll post it.

Heres a link to down load it.
I don't remember if I fixed this 1, Avenger or Bane did. I have used copys from all of us.

You need to deleat any dup files so search all your pff files. Before you pack it. If you want to run it from out side the pff use the /d target command on the med and it will see it any way.
The reason the original bin file doesn't work was because the evn name contained a space in the bin file so the name is wrong.

For those of you who don't like to mess with your pff files:
To edit the mis file by hand so the evn file will work. You open the .mis find the evn and edit like so.

    sunset DAWN 1
remove the space so it reads like this
    sunset DAWN1
then open the map in the med and export the bms file. The map will play with the stock evn you choose. You edit all the evns the same way remove the space.

You wanna grab the file when you get a chance blue. And post it on CPD.

Pack it in the odata, but it shouldn't matter when you build a map, I beleive the med reads from all the pffs but i could be wrong.

Here's a file that will help you with that. The packit utility will automaticly pack the files in the correct pff file for you. It will not only work for the bin file but also works for the bms and til files for maps. Just put the packit file in your root C4 folder. Click the file to open it and check the C4 box on the right side. After that just drag and drop any file you want packed to the center of the window. Its great for installing maps. I've used it to install 20 or more maps at a time. Make sure the game isnt running when you use it. The game wont let any files be added while running. Also works for all Nova games from DF1 up to BHD/TS.

Might also be another good file to add to the download section here.
