New Map

There's a new map for all to enjoy in the map database. Hope you all have as much fun playing it as I had making it..

hey doorway, haven't been able to download and play your new map yetcause my video card went out on me last night, but I was looking at it in the map section here. got a question- You mention needing some of the expansion terrains to play the map. what terrains are those and where would I get them? havent heard of an expansion for dfx, .?

Hey monkeydog.. Sorry to hear about your vid card , I just recently had to do that myself..The terrains I'm refering to are Sonic's terrains for DFX , I found them over at dfbarracks.com. It is a nice package of 7 new terrains , one of which is a great flat terrain(what I was looking for), which DFX is in great need of.. When you get up and running again, come play some coop with me.. Just look for >Doorway's Custom Coop<

thanx Doorway! I'll go get those terrains. Just download them into my dfx folder, right? Would love to try some coop also, sorry if I sound ignorant but where do I go to find >Doorways Custom Coop< ?

No problem man , just go into the game click on the "multiplayer" , you then login to novaworld , then pick "Public Campaigns" then scroll thru the servers, i'm usually in there somewhere. You'll see the type of game the server is playing TDM , DM ,CTF etc. Mine is always Coop.. Hope that helped buddy..

Thanxs, I'm gonna come and visit. I was looking into getting a microphone so that I could learn a thing or two from RAB on his server, How do you communicate with your teammate at doorways custom coop? One more question...(technical) I just got my new video card installed and its working, the graphics are great, but any kind of text such as my start menu or what I'm typing right now is HUGE. Did this when I installed the last card and my daughter got everything back to normal in just a few seconds but I dont know what she did. (windows xp) think she did something in desktop properties but I cant figure it out. Any Ideas? (she's at work)

monkeydog , right click on your desktop , then click properties.. Then click the appearance tab , make sure your font size is on normal. That will adjust your font size only.The settings tab will let you change your resolution(the complete view on your screen). Give that a try.

It's most likely the screen resolution. I usually run my desktop at 1024X768 or 1200X1024. Which ever one you run it at make sure your in game resolution is set differently. If not you won't be able to alt tab out of the game to your desktop.

thanx guys! set the screen resolution to 1024x768 and now everything seems to be back to normal. my eyes were starting to bug out!
got your map downloaded doorway, have only made it about halfway through on single player so far, but I'm enjoying it. good to have a new one from you!

hey i see doorway an old familiar name... what happened to chad? didnt he own this and sore-thumbs? lol check this out... man i really miss the sites, gaming and the community
