Now what??
My 20 gig ide hardrive died finally so I had a spare Segate Barracuda 120 Sata in my back pocket,So here we go{ first time for everything }.
My Asus motherboard A7N8X-X dosen't have a Sata hoook-up after I was informed. So I bought PCI serial ATA host controller card and installed and
hooked up the red cable{ singal interface }. as well as the LED cable to the
front light.Problem is on my Enermax 300Watt PS I can't find any of the spare connectors that even look close the connector on the hardrive. Do I have to or can I buy an adapator to fit one of those spare connectors off the Power supply??

There are power connector adaptors you can purchase that have the normal 4 pin (white plastic rectangle type that you are used to) female connector on one end and the new SATA power (looks like a very wide USB) male connector on the other end. Sorry, I don't have a link for you, but you should be able to pick a couple up at your local PC store.
Hope this helps a little.

ok I got question for yall about this hick-up I had while inserting the driver in my A drive;
The host card came with a mini Cd and I explored it and found the WinDr folder for my model of card, I right klicked the folder and copied to a 1.44 meg disk.Than I inserted it into the drive and a window poped up stating it couldn't find the " TXTsetup.oem file". ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.
My son tried a different way of coping the windr folder to another disk, I think he cut and pasted the folder from the mini cd to the 1.44 meg one and low and behold it found it?????????????
What did or didn't I do to the one I made,I didn't properly copy the ROOT
directory is my guess????
