Howdy, have contemplated writing this for awhile. after reading several recent threads regarding cheating and/ or unfair gameplay in the different forums I figured I'd go ahead.
I've been playing all of the delta force games except joint operations for a few years now And really love all of them. However i never played online. Didnt think I would like it and was afraid I wouldnt be able to compete since I have limited time to play and "practice". 3 weeks ago I made the plunge and registered with nova world and decided to give it a try. Went on dfX first and the second night i tried BHD. Never made it more than 2-3 minutes on any game I joined and most of the time I was dead within seconds of joining.
enter game-die. there were quite a few times also when I would see an enemy within very close range and I would empty my magazine into their chest (20-30 rounds at nearly point blank range) they would stand there and then while I was reloading they would kill me with one or two shots. there was one guy that ran around with nothing but a knife, I could nail him with a rocket launcher and he would run at me at the speed of light and cut my head off.
needless to say my reaction after all this was " hell with it, this definately is not enjoyable" Have not gone on-line since. I'm not saying anybody was cheating. but I dont understand how you can shoot them 20 times from 5 feet away and they turn around and knife me to death!
I will continue to play single player and I'm working on my map making skills in the hopes that I can make some good sp maps to post and contribute to the community. but I am very discouraged with multi player.
before I totally say to hell with it, is there anywhere that I can go online and play on a somewhat level field where I might make it more than just a few seconds? Once again, I'm not accusing anyone of cheating, I may be just very inexperienced, I dont know.
I would love to hear any comments or suggestions you might have! and if you've made it this far in my post thanx for bearing with me as I've rambled on!
Thanx for listening, hope to hear something encouraging!
