This post is to comment and rebut certain accusations that where placed upon SAI as a Squad in whole and certain Pilots that were singled out.

First of all I would like to say that SAI (Silent Assault Inc.) IS THE OLDEST SURVIVING AND ACTIVE C4 SQUADRON THERE IS LEFT FLYING IN C4 TO DATE.....and if anyone would like to Crontadict this fact please feel free to email me and I will provide the approriate documentaion due to I was previleged with its possession from the original website to include: HTML and screen shots.


Edited: Cheat or Not - we will not display this on our site. Built in - or not - if it wasn't in the manual - then it was probably not meant to be used in the servers.


The Third thing I would like to address is complaints about myself, yes me ~Doc~ using a cannon/stinger marco. First of all I would like to say that I Do know what a macro is and that I do fly with a joystick and a nostromo n52. Second, I know that SOME pilots fly with just a KEYBOARD and MOUSE... and you know who "YOU" you are, and remove the delay on ketsrokes on the keyboard, and speed up the mouse reaction, is that not a macro??? So I say this to all, I know that a joystick with a cannon/stinger macro is not except-able within the community, which I do not use... But I do use a joystick/keyboard combo with the delay on the keyboard reduced (ie:nostromo n52 mini-keyboard) to switch between stingers and cannons which is very fast/with fast fingers lol, But they are not fired at the same time but one after another. So now you know my setup I came up with.... So if you think there is a differenece all comments are welcome.

The Fourth address is that All PILOTS who are intersested in joing SAI are welcome, "AS THE HOME PAGE VIDEO STATES' but just realize, its not how good of a pilot you are, but the test is how good of a person you are............... That's The Test..............and if you pass you will get to fly with the best, but remember you are always taking the test... but if the members as a "WHOLE" determine that you are not living up to the squads expectation YOU WILL GET DA BOOT......and that is why we are the OLDEST SURVIVING C4 SQUAD THERE IS......

NOVLOGIC must come up with an update or 2: deticated pilots and squads must force the issue to make the game be played on an even battlefield...with no BS................................................ .................................................. .........

Just 2 questions, exactly how does this help the community. Why would you even take the time to air this here?.

Not taking a shot just some simple facts. Since the day C4 was released players have done any thing they could to find an advantage. The players that got tired of it no longer play or they only play with other players in a controled server.

Even tho Nova left some real lousy parts of the game to be exploted, doesn't mean it's ok to do it. As an example when we know for a fact players are running hot guns we warn, then punt, then ban them, When running a 1 hit server I don't need to worry about 8h players, ie players that made that change in the server options, im not taking about out rite hacks.

When serving version 1.5 players running fast fire macros lose points for it.
Those willing to turn off the macros have a game where they score more honest points than version 2, when you count the lost points for error crashes. They see very few no counts.

If we knew for a fact players were running {the edited part of your post} we would ban for that. Not every one plays that way just because someone hacked the game and found something else to explote. By the way there is no other way some one could have found that command it's not listed any where. It's sad after all these years a number of players can't just play and have some fun.

Most servers run version 2 for 1 reason. You wont turn off your fire macros and stop spamming flares. After all the BS about no counts, macros and every other means to get an extra kill. Only a hand full of players, play with out juicing there game. Even tho the server wound run better for every player and every one would see less lag and the game would be a bit better.
Nice to know the more things change the more they stay the same.

And this is just one more reason in a long list of why me and others have quit the game. To bad there are not many people left that want to play the actual game. Just one more nail in the coffin.

First of all I would like to state that opinions are like A--holes everyone has one............ and I knew, that when I made this post (after being quiet for a long time) that not everyone would agree with it's content or comprehend as to why I did.

The Main reason I posted this information was to rebut accusations that were made against SAI. But since Reaper has asked:

Hince NOVALOGIC does no longer or CANNOT support C4, What do we do as a community? Avoid the subject? Quit? Find ways to cheat? Or maybe enlighten others as to "ALL" the known bugs or exploites within the game in hopes that everyone whould do the same to keep the game on an Even Battlefield. If and when this does ever occur maybe then we all could get back to just playing THE ACTUAL game.

Lets define cheat:

So I guess another ONE of the reasons I made this post was to enlighten everyone: vet pilots and new griffons alike about a command that was written into the GAME BY NOVALOGIC not myself or any others even though it was not in the manual for reasons un be known to me, but is readily available for viewing within the program itself, you just have to know where to look.

I will attempt to close this post for NOW but would like to state that if anyone would like a definition of hacking a program also. I will gladly post my rebu-tile on that.

As far as why I posted this subject matter on this forum? It is most likely for the same reason you felt the need to post your reply Reaper (you felt you needed to)and that this is the most widely used website to exchange information on C4.


As far as Rabs post Im not sure on how to take your response Rab, so please enlighten me as to your intentions, Im not sure if your response was to say that my post or the subject matter within the post was the reason you and other pilots now no longer fly in c4. So I will not comment on this until you reply.

I don't know you. The more I read of your condescending and impudent posting here - the happier I am that I do not. I know/knew some of the old squadmates - some of whom I hold in the highest regard - among them Bump and Unoyt. With that said, I'm gonna tell you something.

I get the distinct impression you are looking for a fight. Somebody has called you or your squad (a) cheater(s) because you've managed to use everything you can possibly find to win a stupid (and poorly programmed) flight sim - up to and including - searching line by line through the executable to find a switch that allows you to spot targets long before you can see and hear them and figuring out 'really cool' keyboard tricks to get those guns fired ever so quickly. Now, here is what I'm going to tell you.

Some of us are old school. If I race 'stock' - that means stock. If I race 'formula' - that means formula. You DO NOT race stock against forumula. So, all of this to say two things here.

1. I couldn't give a rat's butt what you use while you are playing in someone elses server. I really don't care what you use while you host. Just keep in mind that those who still enjoy the game in the 'pure stock' form have the right to not have you in their server - because essentially you are a cheater - bringing your formula racer (and calling it a stock car ) to a stock car race. Are you getting the point here ?

2. I'm closing this thread because you are simply looking for a fight - all but begging people to post so you can offer a rebuttal. Pick your fights and defend your honor on your own site. I was in the middle of answering Doc when you closed the thread. If I typed a little quicker my response would have been...

I've talked about this with you before Doc so it shouldn't come as a big surprise that I disagree with you on this.

The fact that you had to find a program to open the C4.exe file to find the things you did should tell you something. If Nova had meant for it to be used in open game play I'm sure it would have been made more accessible than having to hack the game. I've probably read anything and everything out there on C4 and have never seen a word about it. So I'm sure all would agree that you had to hack the game to find it.
And I remember your reasons for starting the search in the first place. Everybody else is using them so why shouldn't we. That's the oldest cop out for cheating there has ever been. And yes I do consider it cheating. And if all of SAI are using the "tactics" then IMHO the whole squad cheats. Doesn't matter how long a squad has been around. Or how you try and justify your actions. A cheat is still a cheat.

Final and last comment: SAI will now longer accept and will delete all posts made by parties who slander SAI, Other Squads and pilots........ and or posts submitted by guests....who slander..........

You should really make up your mind. Do you really want to know what the community thinks about it or not.

But to answer your question.

Im not sure if your response was to say that my post or the subject matter within the post was the reason you and other pilots now no longer fly in c4.

Well most people know that I quit C4 about a year ago. So it would hardly be for reasons from a post that was made this week. But if I were still a dedicated pilot, I don't think making it a well know fact that cheating was a common practice in my squad would extend the life of the game or bring in very many new players.

I spent the time writing it. I figure somebody should have to read it.

I'am I ever glad I didn't know about this cheat till now,if I had I would have quit C4 long before I actually did. By not knowing this fact I had alot of fun and good times with various people,sqads, matches,ect,ect. so I guess their is something to the phrase, " IGNORANCE IS BLISS".

Rab I gonna try BHD because some of the guys I play with are trying it too.
