    C4 and TeamSpeak

I have had 4 intalled on this computer and everything ran fine until I downloaded Teamspeak. Now everytime I run C4, the pc reboots itself. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix?

    It's an AMD Sempron 1.8ghz
    192mb ram
    VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP
    Windows XP

I've run C4 and team speak with no conflicts. Have you tried uninstalling teamspeak and see if C4 will run. If that doesn't work you might try using system restore to go back a few days or a week to the point everything was working right.

Reddraco was able at first to connect to teamspeak,(he was playing BF2 at the time with us)than
couldn't connect to the KA7 TS, his virus software stated he had the " Deep throat Trojan ".
Than we got an update that punkbuster was having issues with TS.

Maybe connected in some wierd way Rab??????????

It seems there is some type of conflict between this Logitech joystick and Teamspeak. I can unplug it and run C4 with TS with no problems, then shut the game down, plug the stick in, and as soon as the map finishes loading, the computer reboots.

Part of your problem is you don't have enough Memory. TS take a lot of mem to run. Is that actually 192MB of RAM or a mistype?

It's not a mistype, unless I'm reading this wrong. lol But I did fix the problem. All I had to do was just change USB ports! Been playing now for over an hour on TS and no reboots

Glad you got it to work. I'm still a little curious on how Windows manages on 198MB of mem...plus games and whatever else is running in the background. I could be wrong but I always thought Windows needed near 512mb to run properly. You don't have any lag issues with your games and TS? Oh well, problem solved and I never said I knew everything...

I'm thinking he has 256 of ram installed. But also has onboard video. Which means the onboard video is pulling 58 megs of ram. You could probably improve performance dramaticly by adding another 512 of ram and a video card. The ram for all around system performance and the video card for game performance.

I've seen XP systems run on 128 megs of ram. LOL Sitting idle on the desktop they had all of 19 megs of free ram to work with. Would need a large page file I think. To say the system was a little slow would be a huge understatement.

I think he has two sticks.. 1x128mb + 1x64mb. I've set up systems using the 'shared video ram' - and the amount of ram showing in the properties is usually the full amount.

The shared video memory is usually setup in BIOS and is usually in 64mb, 128mb and 256mb increments.

    256KB L2 cache
    Up to 1600MHz frontside bus
256MB of PC3200 DDR SDRAM, upgradeable to 2GB
    100GB hard drive

S3 Unichrome Pro graphics with up to 64MB shared video memory

Other then the on board graphics situation, seems like a decent machine. Though this one seems to come with 256MB mem.

Sorry, I didn't see where he had an eMachine D3107... it was on the pic..duh. But that means 64mb ram being pulled - not 58.

Either way - the dude needs to get a video card with its own ram.
