    a little help here...

    hey all,

glad to see cpd is still jump'n, i had a question for the df vets out their and here it is.

i since have lost my cd of dflw, but had a backup install of it on another pc on my lan... i moved the dflw folder over to the pc i would like to play it on, ran the "RegSetup" and allso applyed the no-cd patch... but my problem is this, when the game first started it did not do the video card check thingy (ya know were it checks the video card to see if it pass's the resolutions) however the game still starts ok, and i can get to nw and join servers etc... but after the mission is over when i try to return to nw, it mess's up the graphics so bad on the menu's i cant even tell what im trying to click on.

if anyone has any idea's please tell me!

P.S my setup is this: WinMe, GeForce 2 MX video card (i used to play dflw all the time on this pc, some of you maybe even remember me lol)

the problem will be that if you have taken the files from your backup on y9ur other pc its trying to read the system spec from that one so the gfx check has already been done ... i dont know about the gfx fault tho could be linked with that somewhere

There was problem with text on menu with dflw when windows xp came out, so if you had the game installed on windows me or 98 machine i guess thats the problem.

duder mybe through bittorrent you can find a ISO image of dflw or meybe if someone can burn ya a copy then send it to ya i know how to burn a copy of dflw . i no longer have a cd burner or i would burn ya a copy of mine + my c/d key and send it . as long as the cd key hasnt been registered you may have it on more then 1 puter just dont register it or log in to play allways bypass login go to public games. here's how

ok dflw has a wild security encryption which prevent's the normal burning of the cd. go to download's.com obtain [ clone cd ], now you must make a new folder for dflw name it whatever. ok with dflw cd in cdrom plyer, start clone cd in the set up process you must check [ sub data track's ]. direct the clone to the new folder and begin the cloneing, after it is done you will be abel to make a back up copy of dflw from the clone in the new folder. " important" you will need a 80 min cd for the copy hope this help's peace Edward

... iv allready tryed that off of Direct Connect, was no good

and i think this is a problem with the pc itself, not the copy of the game being that the game runs just fine on the original pc, and allso iv been getting some funky fatal errors on this pc (even after reformating, hows that work?)

anyway, thanks for all your help !
