Attention C4 Servers, Wanna Give this a Trial Run?..

C4GET-Host-Mgr::
Download taken down....

This program was built for Comanche 4 in 'Serve Only' & 'NovaWorld' Host Options. Host-Mgr allows many options to be changed without taking down a server to change them. It also allows Host Information/Options to be viewed without taking down the server also.

Download, Scan for Virus as Usual, Unzip, Click the EXE install file. After Installation Read the Help-Host-Mgr Link on Desktop.

Hi AV and all the C4GET, team i have run the host mgr for a while now and i am pleased to say all is good once i figuerd out how to use it (that didn't take long BTW)
Im glad that you made the respaun timer adjustable!! that was a great idea
Sorry to see that the 8h message is not adjustable and that you are stuck with it all the time (or maby im wrong)

The only other thing is that i had to rename all of my extra maps to 11.3 format for the rotation to work properly but i concider that "nitpicking"

But what you have provided the C4 comunity is truly price less and i cant thank you guys enough!!

I start C4 in serve mode only, start the manager and set all things, but all I get is a message 10-60 sec try later ????

Me and RedBaron tried it today for an hour and still no success

sorry you are having probs, i'll try to get your troubles figured out....

Only 3 Suggestions right now,
1. Read the Help File.
2. start C4 choose your server settings, serve a novaworld game 1st, then start the Host-Mgr.
3. this is for C4 v20.

I have done all of that AA and I have closed the AutoExplode also.

Looks like the manager cant see, read or detect that the game is running or something, I allways get the ''10-60 sec. Try later'' mesage.

The 8H AP automatic message is hard coded, can not be changed.

3. This is for C4 V20, "Fixed". But it should work with the Original C4.exe.

I have never tested it while running AE.

Hey Unot lets try a diffrent approch!!
It could be other services on your PC that is blocking comunication between host mgr & the game?

Have you tried closing down your fire wall and/or antivirus?
Just temporally for a test!!

Tried it on the other server and can not close the c4 window, stays on the c4 host screen, can not get back to the desttop to start the mgr. tried alt tab, control alt del, and the widows key, any help, and yes v20

Yes i have found that its very sencivitive to the use of alt/tab keys i have learnd to use the windows key instead to avoide server crashes!!

I know this is really dumb and i really hate to ask but is host mgr in the C4 root directoy?

Also i take it the alt/tab keys worked before the host mgr instal? and now they don't when you run host mgr? is this just on the C4 server screen or any window that you open like email for example?

Any info may point to a clue?

So when you alt/tab out of the server screen it just freezes your PC and nothing works and you have to reboot? and this is the same when you press the windows key and ctrl/alt/delete?

Using ALT+TAB while C4 is running in Win XP pro.

Modify the value named "CoolSwitch" and set it to "0" to disable task switching or "1" to enable it.

Logoff or restart Windows for the changes to take effect.

(Default) REG_SZ (value not set)
CoolSwitch REG_SZ 1
CoolSwitchColumns REG_SZ 7

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Settings:
User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
Name: CoolSwitch, CoolSwitchColumns, CoolSwitchRows
Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Value: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)

Be sure CoolSwitch is enabled or working.

Be sure your game resolution is different than your desktop resolution.
Example:
My C4 Game Res: 800x600
My Desktop Res: 1024 x768
