They are psychotropics. Please do not ask any more questions. He is getting agitated.

It's kinda funny you say that. My doctor does not want me to take Ibuprofin, so she prescribed Moban to reduce the inflamation of a recent injury to my hand. Thankfully the pharmacy includes a information page when I had it filled. Moban is an anti-phychotic used most in the treatment of schizophrenia. And has many side effects.

I called my doctors office and suggested that there was a mistake made. They immediately called back to tell me to stop taking the medication (DUH, LIKE I WOULD HAVE). The correct medication was supposed to be "Mobic" an anti-inflamatory much like Ibuprofin

Makes you wonder how often that happens, and what effects it can have if someone just takes the medication as prescribed. And you would not believe the fight I had to make at the pharmacy about returning it (I have a crappy HMO). You would think they would be very quick to correct the mistake regardless of whether it was their fault, or the doctor who called it in when it could have been something that could seriously harm or kill someone.

Thankfully we have the internet now. Always check & read up on what you take !!!!!!!!!

    Hmmmmmmmmmm

I checked it out for you too

    Brand Names and Other Names

This drug is registered for use in animals.

Human formulations: Mephyton® (Merck), Aqua-Mephyton® (Merck) and various generic preparations

Deficiencies of this vitamin are most likely to occur with poisoning by certain types of rat poison. Chemicals found in the rat bait can inhibit formation of vitamin K1 dependent clotting factors. There are numerous products that affect this vitamin (including warfarin, D-CON with brodifacoum, bromadiolone, pindone, diphacinone).

While generally safe and effective when prescribed by a veterinarian, vitamin K1 can cause side effects in some animals.

Vitamin K1 should not be used in animals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to the drug.

All kidding aside , how are you are feeling ok I hope,

PS and if ya got some of that other stuff left , Charger may need a bit of a pick me up tommorrow.............

Thanks Popeye. Appreciate all that wonderful insight into Vitamin K. Better to just eat greens.

I was just kidding about the psychotropics - but as happens more often than usual with Anthony... (dangit duder, quit 'projecting' your thoughts towards the East Coast...lol)

I'm not sure I trust anything other than aspirin or tylenol for pain after the last two weeks... Even naproxin (Aleve) is under suspicion.

I hate to take anything. But after a recent remodel project I came to realize that I'm not 20 anymore. Diagnosed as Carpal Tunnel, my hands & wrists were throbbing so much that I could not even sleep at night. The inflammation is mostly gone now, so it's not as much painful as a few weeks back. But it was getting really painful to type, or grasp a pencil to write. I was on the path of having the tunnel in the wrist slit open to relieve the pressure on the tendants.

I know many people who have had that surgery done, with worsening results. And at a recent adjustment at my Chiropractor he told me that tendinitis is misdiagnosed as Carpal Tunnel more than 50% of the time. He practically begged me not to even consider the surgery. He also started to rub a muscle in my upper forearm and asked me how it felt? My response was that I was about to deck him right to the floor 'cuz it hurt so much.

So, idunno. I'm not wanting to go under any knife, but if it gets so disabling that I am a cripple I'll have to do something. Might as well make glue out of me if i cant type or write anymore. LOL

Most pain relievers and anti-inflammatory tend to also be blood thinners. They also rip the heck out of your stomach. So Aspirin & Ibuprofen is not the remedy. And I have not been very loving to my Liver over my life, so that rules out Acetaminophen (Tylenol) as a good option either. Better that I just get used to the pain. Getting old sux !!!
