Server Console???

Hey all, just loaded LW up and was set out to host a server, have updated to v42. For some reason the (~) tilde is not giving me a console any clues?

I have axactly the same problem. I dont' know what's going on. Everywhere it mentions the ~ .

I can get a screen open with ' but none of the commands work there. Please le me know if you figure it out!
