    Angry Video Card Probs

I downloaded the Joint Ops Demo and I first started the game in 1024X768 resolution and i could hardly move the lag was so bad.
So then i changed it to 800x600, still the graphic lag was so bad. Finally put it to the lowest possible resolution with every thing on low and still get horrible graphic lag. Im running a Windows XP, 512 ram, 128 meg geforce fx 5200, I meet all the required specs. Help plz!

You could use some more ram and the vid card gives you lower fps. The best thing you can do is make sure all back ground programs are turned off. On the bright side there have been some patches for lower to middle end systems for the full version. That seem to have helped alot of players. There are all so some tips on the Nova Community site dealing with what you are seeing.

Hmm, hard to say...Haven't played the Demo in a while but a few of us here seem to recall it being somewhat laggy because the Demo probably only contains minimal drivers. The full version plays fairly smooth and haven't read much of anyone having lag issues with it now. I'm sure you've updated your video drivers and your version of Windows has been updated. Sounds like to me you have the right requirements to run just about anything...I do know a few people who have Graphics issues with graphics cards up to and over 128MB's with frame loss. You're probably not experienceing problems with other games?

One major thing I saw missing was CPU speed - which would help indicate your RAM speed - 3200, 2700, 2100, 100 sdram - which in turn would help tell your bus speed.. 100, 266, 333, 400... which might show that you have a bottleneck. In other words, your video card is processing - but your other computer components are slowing it down.

I have a second computer with an AMD2400+ OC'd to 2.15ghtz, 512 2100 DDR (266mhz bus), and a 256mb 5200 that runs the full version just fine on normal settings.
