There isn't mention of it on Novaworld in the forums lately, I think alot of peps are a little disapointed with NL's ability to produce something they said they would, in a timely manner that would seem fair. I don't think NL realizes just how many people would realy love to have that Editor, considering it was suppose to come with the game in the first place but we soon found out it would be made avalible for download...NovaLogic, we're still waiting!

I first heard it would be releaased 30 days after the release of JO but it wasn't and then I heard it was going to be released soon, that was a while ago.

The editor that was release by A.Bullet is a little complicated but is good enough for DM. It's impossible to use multiple events at this time and makes for very boring, almost predictable coop missions. By the time all the bugs are worked out of it maybe the offical MED will be released.

I'm becomeing impatient as I'm sure the rest of us are but I want to give NL the benifite of a doubt, they promised a good workable editor so hopefully, once again we woun't be let down...

my 1 1/2 cents on this

about the talk and attitude on the forums at Nova..hmmm..

players are one by one 'falling onto their own swords' in an attempt to get nova to commit to release the MED or at least a date of release...and to wipe out the bugs and get stats and this and that...

i've watched person after person start a thread saying 'Goodbye JO'... trying their best to get a reaction from the Nova crew. they don't seem to realize they (the quitters) are wasting their time with even posting a goodbye. even though i've been around for just a little while - nova has proven time and again they follow their own schedule.

the sad part about this is that we will most likely get a 'dummied down' version of the editor. besides... I like coop.. and the AI in JO are idiots. I downloaded the farcry2 demo the other day... the AI on that game are some mean s.o.b.'s.

nova put out a new game on a 'beefed up' old engine. They don't have the resources that EA has - but they have some very loyal supporters. What they can't do - they should let us do - and spend their time getting what we need to do it to us.. They should then go back and build a new engine with some AI that aren't dumber than rocks, provides us with trees, buildings and bridges that you can't glitch thru by going underneath - and most importantly - can be 'patched' without a 2 month 'silent treatment'.

Most long time Nova fans wont be leaving JO or other titles nova releases. We have lived with the delayes, unpatched games, and poor amout of information released from Nova for years. But many are very frustrated with their lack of game support. Even saying we are working on it wont cut it any more. Most look at the past and just don't beleive it.

With out player programers that have stepped in and put out utilitys and giving the community the things Nova just blows off, Nova would not have the fan base they do.

They will never compete with with the resources of game makers such as EA. But When Nova put up the community site It looked like maybe there was a change in the wind. It doesn't look that way now. Game support seems to stay the same or get worse as they grow. We don't know when they will release a med dumbed down or not. We don't know what will be addressed in any patches. Or if they are even done with JO all together.

The worst thing that could happen to the average player would be for the long time players that have put out the utilitys to finally have enough and decide to put their time some where else.

    It's just sad.
