Mission Icebox

[Icefire]

I have been playing Comanche 4 again since it's such an awesome game. However, I am stuck on the mission called Icebox. It is when you have to escort a rescue chopper to pick up some pilots that crashed landed. I have tried this mission a few dozen times and either I get shot down or the chopper does.

Has anyone have any tips on how to pass this mission!!!!!!!!!!
