We are hosting a "Back to basics C4 Server".

We will not be running AE if you feel you need to fly 8H come on in we'll kill you either way. Doesn't matter to us.

This after months of watching the Version 2 AE causes so much lag and major sys dumps. According to the definition of a "Cheat" AutoExplode is a cheat.

We careless for it if you feel you must fly 8h then go ahead.

Our skills are such we will kill you either way.

I know the peanut gallery will sound off on this one. You are welcome in this servers as well.

Inso Thank you for your efforts but I have played this game since C2, it needs no help.

8h is for beginners (Newbies) if you wear a tag and fly 8h then that just tells us what you think of your flying abilities...

All C4 players are welcome. We ask that you follow our simple rules of behavior while in our servers.

Also I have retired from C4 except for training APS pilots.

If your squad wants any help ask an APS member. We are here to help.

I hope this idea catches on, so we can continue to grow as a game. I think General Hooper has a great idea in this one.

I agree AE has its bugs. The advantage of playing in a server with AE running is the caliber of pilots flying in it. It is more of a challenge to kill a "tagged" pilot 3h than any newbie or moderate pilot flying 8h. You just have to farp more with killing 8h pilots! lol.
Its when you get into an non-AE server and a tagged pilot or an experienced pilot with an alias is cleaning house. I look forward to playing in any new server, esp with honest pilots who fly 3h and are respectful of others.

We host both. We are trying to findout what is interesting to players. I know most would like v2.0, but 1.5 has always been the funnest. Our pilots are respectful, and if they aren't just let me know. My son has been flying in our server and is having alot more fun then in any other servers. He hasn't learned to force no counts, but thinks it is really kewl when it happens. He is only 10 years old, and has a better attitude about the game then most the older pilots I know. Watching him play has almost made me want to come back. APS pilots are known for helping others however most of us are big clowns and try to joke with all others to make them feel good when we kill them. I am proud of all APS pilots new and old. The attitude they keep, does make the game appealing espeacially when they joke with the pilots calling them cheaters which happens alot now adays. APS pilots fly everyday, at all hours because we are a worldwide squad. We play fair but play hard. To be good in C4 it takes perseverence, and in order to get good you have to die a lot. Trust me when I say APS members have all died a lot. I know because, I kill them A lot. I thank you for responding so well. I look forward to a better relationship with your squad.

Lets get something strait right now. I have seen the posts about AE over the last few months. THE PROB IS NOT AE. All AE does is force players to either blow up at 8h with the old AE, or forces 1H on 8h layers with the newer AE. The error crashes and extra points being scored on version 2 are the version scoring. You get them rather AE runs or not. Heres a simple fact players are using faster micros in version 2, I know I see them using them. They are firing bigger stinger bursts to score because they want the spash damage kills. This includes my self. My micros are now set as fast as the stick will set them, And I unload at least 8 to12 stingers each time I fire. That's why we see the scoring errors worse than 1.5. It's simple the server is being flooded with to much info at the same time. So when you guys all talk about AE start using version 2 as your complaint. That's what is causing the things you complain about. AE was made by INSO. The game version was made by NovaLogic. Your posts the way they are worded are an insult to the guy that gave you the only fix C4 has ever had. Rather intended or not thats what they come across as. AS for your comment about AE being a cheat Terror, a cheat is a program or altering of the game script for person to gain advantage over other players. AE may be labled as a mod or other things but a cheat is not 1 of them. So now we get to the meat of the problem. How the version you play affects the scoring. If you force no counts. Version 1.5 is what you want to play the scoring makes it possible. If you want to just lock and kill to score points version 2 scores that way. That's why camping is being used so much in version 2 now. Players can hide and pop up to kill the players that are attacking with out being under cover. The players forcing in version 1.5 forced those players from hiding in 1.5 so that tactic did not score as well as it does in version 2. The best players in c4 adapt to the game conditions. They always have. It doesn't matter what version is being played. If all players have the same health the same players names are on the top of the ending scores Even if those names are aliases. What C4 with out AE would be now is every player playing at 8H. If you think otherwise your wrong. AE gave the comunity forced 3H health. With out it even the best players would be playing 8H. Because we all wanted a level playing field. As for any one who is affended by this, I could care less at this point. From day 1 the loudest complainers have done the least to help C4. To attack AE is wrong. If you don't agree put your time in to fix what you feel is wrong, or play with like minded players as your self in a closed server where you can controle the game the way you want it played. If you think I'm wrong I'll be happy to play as 8H against any player in C4 playing 3H and we will see how long it stays fun for you.

AE alters the game hence it is a cheat. plain and simple, weather it be a good cheap, bad cheat or whatever, bottom line it alters the game it is a cheat. Sorry to have to inform you of that. I have never had these crashing problem in Come Get it that I have in say SAI, or any of the other ver2's in C4. Come Get It doesn't run AE. No Crashes, SAI Crashes people fly thru hills, people firing stingers from the ground. This is promenant in all servers running AE for ver 2.

Bottomline APS doesn't use cheats. AE for all versions is a Cheat. If NovaWorld were to back the use of AE we may use it. We came to this decission because of another game, give an explaination of a cheat. AE is a cheat bottomline. This is the APS Official Stance on AE at this time. We feel that any squad that uses AE uses cheats in all forms everywhere. If you need to use this cheat to stay honest then that is ashame, for your squad. This isn't what keeps APS members from flying 8h, we don't need to, APS members stay at the top of the kill list no matter what other pilots fly, 8h, 1h, or 3h we will kill them.

Without AE of any version playing for skill would be useless,
Newbie 8h players could score better than 3h Vetrans, I have
seen it happen... With AE you know all pilots are equal power
and status as far as the helo and game.... Macros are another
thing, the REAL RAH-66 has a type of macro for rapid fire, why
shouldn't the game. Though the real thing limits it to 4-5
launches per second unlike some macro progs that do 7-10
launches per second.... With AE you know that your fighting a
real player, not just a co-op settings difference....

Terror if you would like screen shots of error crashes in Come and get it. I can get them off any game I log in to. They happen in every 1. As do the muti counts on kills. Blaming AE for that is wrong. AE was put in place to begin with because players don't all use the 3H setting. And unless you are standing rite next to your squad members PC you don't know if there 8H or not. And neither do players in an open server that doen't run AE. I Don't care if servers run AE I never did. My problem with the posts I see here is the fact I asked INSO to put it out for version 2. He did it even tho this same attitude has sprung up before. Your attitude about your squad does't need it you so good it doesn't matter is BS. There are many good players in C4 for you to place your members above every 1 skill wise is another insult to every player that playes C4. If you don't want to use it don't. But running your mouth because the comunuty is using a version you don't like has nothing to do with AE exept, the servers like SAI and LRS wouldn't run version 2 unless they had it. Hence we would all be playing version 1.5 still. And I like 1.5 my self better any way. But the rest of C4 didn't. That's why this is where it is now. Cry cheat all you want to. But it's not going to help your cause at all.

I agree with Reaper Completely, I have had double counts, NC's,
and a mess of other things people say are from AE, but then i
realized, I was getting the same things on servers without AE.
Double count on CAGI and once on my own server in which AE
was not even on the server PC. And as far as being a cheat,
AE is one of the FEW things that made C4 fair for all players,
Also I really wonder if you can speak for EVERYONE on your
squad when you say you don't go 8H????

I agree that all versions have their "bugs" and/ or quirks including AE. Do we get rid of it? That is up to each individual server. I totally disagree with you on the issue that if AE was not available that everyone would be flying 8h. What keeps this community alive is dedication and honesty on the majority of pilots that play the game. I still play in come and get it if no other server is available. I do prefer v1.5, you have to limit your rate of fire to overcome the NC issue.
I dont consider AE a cheat, but I know running in a server with it seems to cause more dumps and more multiple death counts(we played a match the other day, one death caused 4 kills to be registered) I dont see this happening in v2 without AE running, yes maybe a double count but 4? I appreciate all that the community and INSO has done for us, dont get me wrong, it just comes down to personal preferences.

Well, it looks like you have all fallen into the trap. I honestly thought if I ignored this thread that it would just go away lol. silly me. I only have one comment. If anyone wants to know whether or not the statement "we don't use cheats" is true, then all they need to do is go to the aps site and see the cute picture of their boss flying in battlefield with a cheat prominently displayed on the snapshot. (apparently the cone cheat allows a player to see exactly where all the other players are).

so, to put it simply, the entire premise of this argument is fallacious (and for those students of logic here, you know what that means).

Once more, APS is hoping that you guys enjoy our server. It is a back to basics server. This was posted by me. but backed by the CO Staff Hooper included. I am so sorry you have a problem with me posting. Maybe you should look first at yourself before you point fingers.

APS members don't start anything we just finish it. Using our stingers only. If you all remember I mentioned the peanut gallery, well read above.

We were announcing the Back to basics server. After reading some rules for playing another game known as Battlefield1942, We came up with the decission to host this server.

It is not APS's job to keep you honest. If you want to fly 8h come on in we will kill you all the same. So let go of your resentments. You don't have to worry about me in C4. I am just following my orders from my CO.

AE alters the game weather good or bad it is a cheat. If it were to be backed by NovaLogic then we would back it as well but, it is not. Hense it is labled by the creators of the game as altering the game, a cheat. I didn't write the rules NovaLogic did. Take it up with them.

Talk to Dbl:Tap of SOT about this one, he took this screen shot. This cone thing was running on his system,,, LOL Good One, LOL was a very good stunt though. I was hauling butt, through that bridge. You gotta see some of our other stunts it will be in the APS stunt movie. This is one of the reasons we have nothing to do with SOT, because of them using Philters cheats and Dr Kenneth. There are a few members of LRS that are ok but unfortunitly a lot are banned for ever until you guys appologize to General Hooper for misconduct towards our pilots. Lets get back to the point at hand. We have a back to basics server, To allow both good and bad pilots to play in it, new and old. It doesn't matter how you fly 1h, 3h, 8h. Just means we fire more stingers. Come on Guys let Wipers post be it for the negativity he can't help it, but the rest of you can. We want this server to be attractive to all, We don't want to force anyone to fly the way we fly, just have fun is there anything wrong with that. Fly the way you want, it doesn't matter.
