V2~Vs~V1.5 Where are the pilots hiding

Hey Pilots,

Well I am here to tell you that flying in V2 is LAME…. and I have noticed that a lot of pilots have not been frequenting the servers since this big wonderful change. It’s a serious loss to C4.
I get more kills than I ever got in V1.5, I love it. I get double kills for 1 kill, I get triples for another and tonight my personal best. I got a score of 5 for one kill….. man this is great.
When I was a “No Counter” I was called a cheater. Now that we have V2., I get called 8h… oh… or do I have cable? I guess now I am cabling—lol!! Sorry…. just DSL here. Now I get 5 points for one kill….and I’m a cheater again -------LOL------- got to love this game…. or hate it.
When there was V1.5 servers running, people stayed in the server to see if they could make a count stick, now with V2 they don't bother. Instead most go look for easy kills. I had a 44/3 score today and everyone left. Since V2, most people will not fly in a server with a good pilot….so sad.
You know the ones that wanted V2…..I don't see a lot of them around. Did they quit the game because they didn’t like it after they finally got it? The other night there was a V1.5 server up. Guess what… it was full and stayed that way longer than any V2.
Well thanks to all who wanted V2 you made the game to easy. Working to get a kill isn’t necessary any more, just dumb lock fire man. It’s great!!!!!!!! Thanks to all who wanted V2 I am having a ball!!!

Myself i've been playing team sabre and i dont care what the version is its still a blast!!!!

i was going to play the other night but the only server with peaple in it was sai and they where full so i played Sabre all night instead and boy is there a lot of "questionable stuff" going on in those nova servers!!!

Hey OhNo.........44-3..........were you flyin with a bunch of Griffons, or wolfblitzes or maybe supra-heli's..hehe........Ive spent many hours in V2 and have never seen more than 2 for 1 kills.....Oh and Im not the best pilot in the game by any means but I never considered myself a "dumb Lock"...........I'd say theres a bunch of pilots out there that think their better than a "Dumb Lock Kill".............Also my guess is that the newbies are definitely happier with the V2 cause they get to knock out us Squadron guys&gals where in 1.5 they would just get frustrated......all in all V2 is better in my opinion.......and your welcome to come and try to go 44-3 in our v2 server anytime

Do you have any thing to substantiate what you are saying here, screen shots or what ever, if so make a post here.
Beta release's of AE - Support and Comments,. I'm sure it will get fixed.
With a score like that in V2 and you being such a GOOD pilot, maybe we better HIDE.
We had a match with your squad the other day V2, AE, you where not there, you where not hiding were you????

Sorry you did not get the drift bud these are problems that need to be address, and you tell me to shut -up what nerve. Let me tell you I have helped a lot more new players than I see others help. and I have thanked the ones that try to keep the game going as well as myself. Check my POST 12/22/03 did not see you jump in there and thank anyone.

The game is full of problems. There is only one person 1 person I know who has managed to 'fix' the game... but it took actually changing the executable - not an addon.

But along with making this fix available would come 1: justifying its existance with the C4 community and Novalogic 2: the responsibility of supporting it and 3: dealing with the infighting in C4 that exists as strongly today as it did a year or two ago -and all of this for FREE. That's right... no pay - and in addition to carrying a full time job ( not hanging out at school. ) If you look at the other Nova (DF2 to BHD/TS) servers you can see anywhere from 500 to 3000 players - what is the most you find on C4 ?


Think on these things for a little while and you might see why you have a hard time finding opponents - and consequently support.

Hey OhNo.........you are one of the best pilots in the game in my experience.........wether its 1.5 or 2.0 always a tough kill.........to get that good you must love the game as many of us out there do!..........every game has its glitches and thank heaven for a few like Inso, Blue an Reaper that spend many of their hours trying to make the game better for us.......but the bottom line is the game is just a blast....glitches and all and you enjoy it or you wouldnt be up there flyin and killin.......hehe......Personally for me its a challenge everytime i take my bird up especially when you guys are in it because the challenge becomes even better.........and that goes out to the rest also........LRS, SAI, EFA, SON, CFS, CAS, APS and even the newbies in Come and Get it who are always complaining about cheating......They complain because their competative.....and we all try and help them become better so the competition stays in the game.........I hope you 2 dont give it up for being to "easy" because the community would lose a couple of their best!.....and then I wouldnt get the chance to show you that theres still competition out there waitin for you....

This is always going to come down to what the diff versions lend them selves to as far as game play goes. And the scoring will push most players to play the way that version scores best for them. In version 1.5 there will always be players forcing no counts. Today thats ok because players have the choice they didn't a few months back. They don't have to play that version. In version 2 you will see much faster micros and players flood the server with more shooting because that will score more points. That alone will bring more errors to the game. If some players can find a way to cheat they will. Some players will always have something nasty to say when they lose. C4 is still in trouble with the low number of players that we have in the servers, And every day there are a few less. To all the die hard players out there. It's time to start giving a little on both sides If you don't there will be even fewer people for you to play. Skill is diff things to diff players. And all of us view what should be consided as fair play or how you should play diff. No matter how stongly we fell one way or the other When every thing is said and done there will be no c4 with out some one to play it with. So that is where we need to look at a game fix. At this time Players conduct and atittude does more to either save c4 or bury it. And that is some thing you don't need to write a program for.

LOL....There is a reason why there is so few pilots playing C4...People don't take the time to help the new pilots out and constantly complain because of the unfairness. The only way they will ever get help is from us and I still help at every chance. Some of us don't even realize it....but we have all taken a part in ruining this game. From complaints to calling people cheats......I was probably one of them.....but at least I can say I took the time to help anyone who asked...and many others as well. I have seen the BIG scores in v2.0 and the 5 for one mistakes with ae.....we never had this problem with v1.5.
Don't get me wrong.....I like the version 2 servers....It makes my day getting all those kills. Now I get to start over....relearning the game...and reteaching it to others........because the servers moved to 2.0... WHERE IS EVERYBODY? Hardly anyone plays C4 anymore... and everyone wants to point fingers at certain people....well...how about looking at part of the real problem....V2.0 ae!! Hardly any of my friends want to fly anymore.....either because of all of the CI's, Sys sumps and unfair scoring...or the inability of pilots to be good sports and stop calling "cheat" everytime there's a CI (of which there are many). All this feuding is crazy and makes me laugh when I watch OhNo fly Version 2. Most of you don't even know it is him when he is in his alias.....eventually he gets called a cheater and the complaining never stops..... Face it....he's a better pilot then most...and if your good....people are going to call you a cheat.. He can take it.....but....it doesn't make it right.
Are there people who cheat?....... Of course there is. I Don't need to show a list.....It would just add fuel to the fire. As for us...we just want to fly the game...and have a good time. To heck with the cheating...we don't have time for it.

I would also like to give a big Thank You to the people of C4 for trying to see what the problem is with the game. We have time to write and discuss what is happening.....but....I don't see the game increasing in numbers at all. Who would want to join a dieing game where everyone complains that they get killed....only to have the game "reborn" as v2.0ae....where everyone is a "newbie" again..... I have heard people say that "It's only fair"......Talk about newbies getting a chance to kill. Thanks for making us all newbies again.....and thanks for all the new complaints and glitches in the game. This is real fun.
It's hard to say what will happen next....It makes my day to hear the same pilots that whined about 1.5....whine now about v2. now that they have figured out they STILL can't get a good score. All this stuff has done is pushed people away from the game....Misery loves company.
Alot of things have contributed to the way the game is today.....including some people beating up on new people, talking smack and not taking the time to just say hello...or....do you need some help. I have seen Pilots do this...Do you really think this helps? You should practice what you preach. I realize...there is NO way for everyone to spend ALL there time helping others...but if we all spent just one hour per week investing in new people ( in the game)...helping them with the game and showing them the ropes...perhaps our game could come back to life like it once was.....
If we want this game to survive....there is only one way. Stop preaching and start teaching.
All of this negativity and talking smack is killing OUR game. I'd like to hear a few of you say the same things that you have said here to our faces. Yeah...now that's up close and personal. Why would anybody want to do that? It is shocking how people treat each other.
I know you can't see me...and I can't see you.... but we are real people....and need to start acting like it.
I'm going to keep helping pilots and I'm still going to be flying...If you want to be in the solution....join me.

Animal u hit it right on the button there sonny??? dont know how old u r but it sounds good. lol anyway we(i mean those that care) really love to help out the newbies because i didnt even know how to respawn when i started online!!!! what a putz i was but some kind gentle but very tough "COACHES" helped me out alot and thats what we () need to keep in mind (we all sucked @ 1 time) and thought he must be cheating cause he die but no points for me the cheating bas$$##@@###@@@ lol

I am in no way going to get into the middle of this battle again, as it hasnt changed in over 2 years, same ole same ole. But felt I needed to clarify something. Reading thru this thread I noticed alot of refrences made to "ver20ae" which implies the problem is AE. Version 2.0 came from nova not me, for one. AE did NOT make version 20 they did. The AE that was written for v20 does that same as it did in v15 with one slight change to how it handles 8h pilots.

AE does nothing more then change the health of a player joining a server at 8h and prevents the use of the efam bug. Nothing more, nothing less.


The problem your trying to cure is the same as it was in v15 yes v15 has issues and yes v20 has issues ALL games have 'em, but Ive been saying it for over 2 years now, the problem is not the game bugs! Its the way the people playing the game handle them and deal with each other. Until that changes(not holding my breath) it dosnt much matter what nova or anyone else does.

I made one mistake with the ae for v15 which I learned from, not having the ability to retract it. If all of you truly feel the problem is being caused by AE I will gladly kill it, take about 10 seconds and no one will be able to run it.

Hey you guys i dont think this thread started with bad intentions.......I think maybe I started it with my response to OhNo which was not my intention(it probably sounded a bit sarcastic).......I was just a pilot responding to another pilot's post because i didnt agree with what he was saying about the game being lame and that i believe theres still alot of competition out there to be had.........Ive noticed since then on this thread people started to bring up the community at large as if the opinions of us few here represent the whole......it does not!.......I coordinate all my teams activities and have alot of contact with the other Squads....My Calendar for the month is full of matches and fun which wether its a small community or a large one is what its all about....to me thats a sign of good health.....Inso...keep on rockin dude....i dont think theres enough we can say for all the help you've put forth and it is appreciated........
