Thread: Sysdump

Hi all, I am having the same problem as well. And I'll have youknow that I have 1GB memory, 2.6GHZ Intel Pentium Hyper Threading Technology P4 Chip(Running on an 800MHZ FSB), a 7200 RPM Westren Digital Hard Drive, Running Windows XP. The only thing that might not be quite up to par is the video card, which is a Nvidia Gforce4 128 MB DDR memory(which is more than twice what the game calls for, hell the Gforce4 was not even out when the game was first put out.
Also i only have a 15"LCD Flat Panel Monitor which only goes to 1024 any way. so an ATI 9800 PRO 256 DDR card, would not make a hill of beans to me.

It all started when nova changed the url for the site to log on to play on. Of course that was about the time that I got my new LogicTech Extreme 3D Pro, which should'nt matter cause reaper runs the same stick with basicly the same marcos and does not have a problem.(I thought the marcos where causing it for a while).

All my drivers are more than "Up to Date". I thought that it may be the router, or the modem, or the isp. but I am using a different modem with different isp now,(that is not "droping anything" I can tell you that much) so that can't be it either. I have reinstalled, deleted the sysdump files, tried playing without the Nocd patch and the auto logon patch...NOTHING STILL THE SAME THING. Oh, and I have spoken with nova and sent them e-mail's too, they told me to try and clean out the "Cache" folder in the Comanche folder, guess what that dont work either.

I have Defraged, scanned for Spyware, scanned for Virus's, deleted cookies and temp internet files, rebooted, cleaned out the cache, turned everything off(back ground programs) etc., still the same old "SYSDUMP"

Now I have narrowed it down to about thre or four things it can possible be.
1.) Voice chat software. ( havent really tried this yet)

2.) Taking the stock maps out of the odata file. (havent tried this either, being as that i have deleted the stock maps from the odata file, that could be it, but if that had anything to do with it at all then the game would not even start.)

3.) The other person's computer that is serveing the game. (like reaper said you need to reboot your server ppl

4.) Nova has sure enough %@&#! something up.

5.) If you know that you are going to dump on the second map, restart comanche4. (when game cycles)

I have been Playing Planet Side here latley and I have no such problems, that game takes alot of resources to run too. (truth be known prolly more)

My honest opion is that nova has screwed the pooch this time and they do not care, am not gonna even think about patchin it, nor will they sink any money into a server, bandwidth, or anything at all for that matter of into this game. they are are super done messing with c4.

I hate to be the one to break it to you ppl, but this game is now offically dead.

Noone plays the thing anymore, therefore noone has the time to do anything about the problems that will arise. Nor do they want to even put forth an effort. "I.E. Nova".

Oh did I mention the game is on the dollar rack now.

Everyone is into BHD, NFS, BF1942, MOH, HALO, Planet Side.

Don't get me wrong I still have fun playing the game. (when and if there is someone to play it with) And I really like it alot, have also gotten very good at it.

But I am Kinda likeing Planet Side a hole lot more, being as how there are at lest 500 to 1000 ppl at the very least playing at any one time in the day.

But enough of my rambling on. just thought I would waste my time saying something that you all already know anyway.

    -Copenhagen out

ok, after checking out what I was using I remembered that I also get sysdumps in V2. I can server V2 fine, but for playing I use v .15. If you are playing multiplayer and using v .15 on a V2 server, you are playing v2 for all intents and purposes. hope this helps.

Yup when I serve C4v2 about 5-10 maps in it will dump a bunch of players. When I serve and play it dumps mostly the other team. It's not at the begining of the game, but about half way into it. Custom or stock it will still happen. I used to serve DFLW & DFTFD and reboot about once a week no probs..
I did ask Nova for the server list addy and they told me to update my game... I guess thats just 1 of the standard answers they give.

like I said, if the players are playing using v1.5 on their machines, it seems that they don't get the dumps. At least, I don't. The server running v2 makes it a v2 game. The dumps (at least for me) happen if I am trying to fly v2.
