    MSN MESSENGER

    HELP.........
Tonight for some reason my MSN has just stopped working.
I have uninstalled and re-installed to no avail.
I keep getting the following error message
    ..
"We were unable to sign you in to the.NET messenger Service, possibly because of a problem with your Internet connection. Please try again later 0x81000370"

FYI I have Norton Firewall and all OK in there (I think)

Any help would be MUCH appreciated

If you've done a reinstall and norton used to let you on.... try these:

Click Start, then Run, and enter the following: regsvr32 softpub.dll then click OK.

Clear your IE cache and cookies -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then Internet Options, then click the Delete Files button, and when that's complete click the Delete Cookies button.

Check your IE Security settings -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then Internet Options, then Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section, and verify that "Check for server certificate revocation" is unchecked. Also verify that 'Use SSL 2.0' and Use SSL 3.0' is checked, then click OK.

Then go get a scan for the blaster worm.

I'd seen that before, but only with MSN, this morning - MSN is fine, ICQ and AIM are not connecting. Can't even pull the ICQ site up. Additionally, some other sites are completely unavailable this morning.... dangit... time for a virus scan... real-time scan must've let something by....
