    hosting with a router

    i changed my hub for a router and now i cant host on novaworld . There's a way to open somes port , but i need to know what's port number C4 use when hosting on Nova .

    Standard game port is 17200 if you let me know what router I can give you a walk through.

    Inso forgot:

    Comanche 4 - UDP port 17200
    Direct X - UDP port 4660

    its not working...i have a Linksys BEFSR41
    i set the 2 port# in the fowarding options

    If you are running Windows XP, be sure that your firewall is turned off. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, and then Network Connections. Select Properties, and then click on the Advanced Tab. Remove the checkmark from the box under Internet Connection Firewall.

    If that doesn't work, you might try calling Linksys Tech Support (toll free). Everyone I've ever talked to says they are great, and they will walk you through the set up, step by step, until it works.

    Thanks a lot ... its work ..!? but something strange ; i cant join my server by Novaworld with my PC #2 ... i have to use a special trick to join it by Lan cable
