Hi Begining testing of AE50.
In this thread I wil be posting the updates of issues that I am working on and testing. If you see the server up please join and help in testing as it speeds up the time it takes to finish the updates and release them.
If you have problems or issues and Im not on the server plesae post them here so I can deal with them.

First thing on the block is the super cannon, which I belive is complete and working correctly.
Server is testing the rate of fire for the cannon. Using the keyboad enter key by itself to establish a base line fire rate. Which if your curious happens to be an average of 7 rounds per second. Server checks the fire rate for each pilot and if this is exceeded they will be dealt with.
Assuming your not using the #1 combo, if your trigger maco still flags you will need to slow down the repeat rate until it fires at the stock rate.

We have it installed now and haven't noticed any real issues except still getting a few doublecounts but very few, The hotguns patch doesn't seem to be working either. Also I noticed that on the efam bug it gives some a 20 at the end of effam bug message and some a 9e or something like that what does the numbers and letters represent? The 3h is working fine but haven't seen anyone come in yet with hacked weapons so I don't know if they fixes for them is working or not. Thanks again for the work you are doing. I think if you look youll find that your running AE40, this thread is for testing issues of 50 but in any event. Reading the list of patches that were released with 40 hot guns is not on it this is the first thing were testing in 50!!!!! So trying to get that to work is going to be impossiable as it hasnt been released. If you read the thread for 40 you'll find

OMG Blue I thought I was going to S**t my pants when I saw the pix above, LMAO! I flew a little in the server, Im glad to see more work and dedication being put into the game. I experienced the spawn and die thing several times, I like the cannon control rate, and understand that stinger control rate may follow(good for all). I did get stuck a couple of times, and was wondering if a spawn delay was in the program to minimize getting stuck. I dont recall being called invisi after doing a ~resetgames after being stuck, just a pain in the tail rotor having to reset due to being stuck. Keep up the good work!

One issue i've noticed is the efam fix... When i spawn and take off, someone will be shooting at me and i drop my 'fams.. itwill say "so-and-so is using the efam bug"... no biggie, me and the other guy no im not, but when i go to shoot my 12 stings , they are all duds. I have tested on other players, buildings, boats,ect and came up with no kills.
Any chance of a fix in the near future?
I'm not griping by no means.. just gets annoying at times. :agree.gif:

Correct, if you do not fire atleast one missle before dropping your efams you will be tagged. My suggestion to as well as others is reprogram your stick as such when you hit the button you normally use to drop your efams, have it fire one missle then release. There is a slight delay, but ensures your good to go.

It happened one time to me to be caught by the EFAM bug, after I first shot 10 stingers in a dogfight. Ping was sth about 180 for me and over 200 for my target. Guess it was a bad connection. Never happened after I reduced my repeat rate of my keyboard. It works very well now. When I start a host I´m using AE10-40 now.

Hi Guys, Am I stupid or wot?
First things first, this is my first time trying to host, I have downloaded the TKOTH no CD application (is there more than one?) and put it into my Comanche 4 folder, I then received, from Redhawk, the HostManager and ran that, so far no problem! Then I went to the C4 Revolution downloads and downloaded the Autoexplode and the MD5 Generator (here's the biz!) I first tried MD5 but I had an error message saying
"The Component COMDLG32.OCX is not correctly registered, the file is missing or invalid"
So I continued with the Autoexplode itself I now get an additional error message saying
"Please download the correct c4.exe file from CPD. The Patched TKOTH v20. Click to goto the Checkpoint Delta forums for help"
So here I am :puzzled:
Any idea's???

Make sure you put the AE 40 file in the Comanche 4 folder. When AE runs it looks for the C4.exe file in the folder it's located at. If AE is not in the C4 folder it will give you that error. I created a short cut to the desktop from there so I don't have to open the C4 folder to start AE.
The MD5 isn't neccessary for running AE.

Phaser, Did you replace the C4.exe shortcut icon on your desktop or wherever you start it from with the new one that you placed in c-4. And did you replace the one in c-4 with the fixed exe or do you have them both in c-4 ? I don't know why, but I know when my son installed in his pc he had both exe files so it was still starting his old c4 exe instead of the new one. Just trying to think what could be happening without seeing. Did you get the COMDLG32.OCX file and place it in your windows\system32 folder? All these can lead to the problem your having.

Just to let you guys know: I have put everything back to basics, and then started all over again, this time I shut down all but my server computer to make sure I wasn't getting any corruption. I also shut down my internet security & I then followed all the instructions, to the letter! but I got the error message ......mswinsck.ocx.....so I went to the link shown in C4 Revolution, and downloaded this .ocx file and did a manual insertion into the system32 folder and (Can you believe it!)

I will now endevour to install some of CPD's new TDM maps.

An issue has arisen...
I was running the FUN 24/7 Server for a few hours and after a while in the server screen, instead of the players names (01 [5]Phaser =FUN=), a load of rapidly changing numbers occured, (01 [5]4359 876) these numbers were changing at the rate of 1 per second! I then did a reboot of my system and just after shutting down c4 and the Host manager I got an error message from ae40 on my desktop saying "Health Check" I tried to close this window but another popped up on top of the original with the same error message this happened about three or four times in the end I clicked the X in the top right of the window and got the message " Cannot Close" so I just did a reset of my computer and started all over again. At the moment all is well.
This maybe a cause for concern for you INSO.....

The numbers you saw in place of the names is an easy fix. Just hit the ENTER key and the names come back. Press ENTER again and the nimbers will come back. I believe the numbers represent connection info. Not positive about that though. I do know that when a player is killed the second set of numbers will go to zero until the player respawns.
The error messages you got after closing C4 down were probably caused by AE still running in the background. AE is still trying to check the memory locations for health and weapons. But since C4 is closed it generates an error. You should be able to close AE and then close the error boxes afterwards.

After running the server again, if someone activates the efam bug the game will only last 10 mins or closes after a few mins.

zak used to have some for download
kamui used to have some for download
the viper used to have some also
I think pappy used to have some
I think it was rantanplan who used to have a bunch of awesome maps also
you can contact some or all of these people on here and ask them, although I don't know if the viper's site still exists
I have some maps from different people, including myself, that were put up for download at one time or another, I'll put a link on my servers page sometime next week if you want to download them (its at: http://www.nakulak.com/c4serversnak.php). If you're new to serving, just keep in mind that you won't know how laggy the map is until you get 8 or 10 people, and some maps aren't going to make it (for instance, buildings + water = lag, ai objects = lag , etc, and amount of lag depends on your server, items (including services) running in background, your connection, etc)

Thanx Wipersix - Kool site btw, also my FUN 24/7 Server is not in Worcester or Warwickshire its in Cardiff (close tho)
If you mean 'The viPer' I have his site in my favourites folder. I'll check it out for maps.
