I downloaded the mod. Looks kewl in the pic by the way. But was wondering what I needed to do to make it work. :stupid2: Will the med pick it up if i just put the pff file in the BHD folder. Or if I add it to the existing pff file, Which one to I add it to.
There are several ways to do it... but... it depends on whether you are currently running BHD with or without a mod.Quote:

The only mod i was planning on working with at this point is the Terranova mod. But mostly I just run the basic BHD/TS game. I tried the Lock and Loader once before and it didnt work for me. Dont know why. I just kep the seperate shortcuts on my desktop and use the one i want to run As for serving the Anaconda Server manager has a built in option for mods. Ive had the packet utility for a while. Used it for Comanche. I'm guessing that the packit utility will puts all the files where they belong. The only thing I used it for was installing maps.

It is a flash program - if you have flash installed, it should work. Always has for me. Packit will only load into BHD's default .pff... you may want to pack them either with a batch file or FWO Raven's pff editor.Quote:

Well good news and bad news. I got the the thing to work just fine. Sent all the files to Reaper and it worked for him too. But unlike C4 anybody else coming into the server gets punted. I've seen the same object used in C4 and with 2 PCs, 1 with your mod installed and 1 without the mod. Everybody was able to fly no problem. Without the mod you couldnt see it but the server wouldnt punt you. I'm guessing that the small collision boxes were not the only changes Nova made from C4 to BHD. I might pull it out of the PFF files and repack it.
I did get a couple SS to add too.

Well I seem to have found another problem unfortunatly. Not only do the people with out the mod get punted when coming in, It seems with the mod you get punted from any map that doesnt use it. As strange as that seems. I have 2 copys of BHD/TS i run(3 including my backup copy) plus the server. Me and Reaper played the mod map no problem. When we went back in on the other maps it would punt you in about 20 to 30 seconds. Tried pulling the files from the gaming folders and still got punted. Had to pull them from the server too and had no more problems. Thank god for the backup copy. LOL I will probably try it with one of the mods and see if there is any difference.
Heres a couple of pics from a map I started in C4 with the BHD mod. I wish there had been more interest in that. I quit working on it after a while. Figured if I spent all the time making maps with it there would be me and just a few others that had the mod installed. I might pull the mis files back out again when Avenger gets his work done.

Sure I got a few more screenshots for ya. There isnt alot to this. I had just got started with the map. But that was back on 6/1/05. At that time I was running 200 log ins a day on my C4 server. I even ran 26+ hours with atleast 2 or more people flying in there. That was not quite 2 months ago. Sorry to say but I'm not seeing much intrest in the game now to give up the time finishing this or half a dozen other maps that I've started.

Was going to be a TDM. All the maps I made were for my server. Never even tried to make a COOP map. Seriously doubt if I could set an event in one if I had to. LOL When making maps I try to provide a new and interesting surroundings and let the players that come in provide the action.Quote:

Sorry ZAK but its not my stadium. Have to give the credit for that to Bluetiereign. He did all the hard work that made it available in C4. All I did was put the pieces together that he provided. Any ideas you get from the pics here feel free to use. Who knows I might end up finishing this one sometime later on.Quote:

LOL Sorry ZAK For the misunderstanding here. It is one of my maps. I gave credit to Bluetiereigen because he made the mod that I used.
When I make maps I make them for my own server. I don't put them up for download. All the pieces you need to build one of your own is in the BHD mod though.
I never played the COOP much. Not much interest in it for me.

LOL. I think you do not understand. The Stadium is in the Mogadishu MOD. I did not build the stadium you see in the screenshots. RAB built the stadium using the Mogadishu Mod. I only made the MOD - I did not the MAP. :)
Yes, you may use the Stadium. You may use everything in the mogadishu MOD. Do you need me to build the stadium ?

Hey Bluetiereign, I took the mod out after having problems being able to get into other servers. But when I ran the map again I noticed inplace of the Atomic Earth item of yours was a rocket. Is it possible that when you assighned an ID # to the mod item that it overwrote an axisting item in the med and maybe that is the source of the problem with entering a server.
Well..... I told you I didn't have EXP installed. So, I went ahead and downloaded it to see if I couldn't stop your :traurig310.gif:. Sure enough - the item numbers were a rocket pod and rocket. The download has been updated. :)
KEWL!!!! And I promise that in the future I'll save all my whinning and crying for something important. Well atleast something important for me. But rest assured you will be the first to know when I find exactly what that important thing is.LOL

Ok I lied. I'm going to :traurig310.gif: again. I tried the updated mod and have the same problem as I did before. If I put the mod in the server nobody else can get in. It shows them loading then punts them out. If I put the mod in my gaming PC then I cant get into any server. If the mod is in both the server and player then its no problem. But it gets awfuly boring running around a map by myself. I could probably talk Reaper into running it sometimes but then he would just come in and keep killing me. I'm using the mod on just the basic BHD. No TS or any other mods installed. I don't know if there is a way to fix it but yhought I'd let ya know anyway.
All mods should include a list of ID numbers used, so that future modders could avoid using the same ones.
Its not a problem with the another mod. Also BTR included an ITEMS.DEF file with the download and a readme that has the item numbers for adding the items to another mods PFF file. I was looking through the original ITEMS.DEF file trying to see if the item number might have been used by Nova but it's a long list and in no particular order. If you know of a list thats in has the item numbers listed in order it would be nice to have a copy.
Well, the only alternative I can come up with... find something everyone else has - and replace it - like the fire extinguisher. No... scratch that... don't do that.. I'll look into it.
This thread is so stretched out, ( in time ) that I can't remember if I'm off track here or not... but..
It shouldn't be showing without the EXP mod... I added this to the EXP.pff, I thought... maybe not. I'll look into it tomorrow... Tonight, I'm too tired.
But as of right now... I'm thinking that editing the 'stock'.pff may be a 'no-no'.
Would that be the EXP.pff that comes with the Team Sabre. If so then that might be the problem. I've been running it in the regular Black Hawk Down. But then again in the med editer it list all the Team Sabre items anyway. I was thinking BHD and TS used the same items list. But without the 3di, dds and other files that TS installs all you get is the red X in the editer when you use the items. But, Considering the exstensive knowledge in game programing that I have, Yes that's right, I read at least 2 PC game magazines a year, Well then I'm probably wrong.Quote:

The last time i tried it I put the item numbers you gave me in the items.def or the resource.pff file of the standard BHD. Reencrypted the file and repacked it. I thought you meant the TS pff earlier because when installed it adds the EXP1.pff file. We were going to start working with the Terranova mod but out of all the times I've served it there has only been one other person besides us that has come in the server. It's really to bad too, There is alot of good stuff in that mod to work with.
I haven't had time to look at this... I've been doing some graphics for someone and working on a computer for somebody else. I will try very hard to get to this by the weekend - or definitely this weekend. I've also got some maps to post... so I should be able to give some time to supporting the Nova community..lol. If only they (Novalogic) would return the favor with an update for their games.
