Hello BTR, saw a new post and had to look.
I still come by weekly, just don't log-in. Don't know if I will ever build or buy a new gaming rig with the way things change and most games being developed for console now. But it's good to see you comment old friend.

Hey Reaper, thanks for dropping in. It is good to see you. I love my eye candy, and the PC (for me anyway) still offers the best experience. I use my computers to generate extra income, so I'm OK with spending a little on them. The 'old' rig was 6 years old, and still able to do about anything I wanted when it died. Unfortunately, much of my storage was in a raid 0 array, so I lost some data. I'm now recovering that using the FX60 system listed in this thread that I built in 2006. It has a replaced identical motherboard, but is still a workhorse. It is interesting to look back. I'm actually writing this reply on a quad core/six gig laptop that I would have never dreamed of even seeing when this thread was started 12 years ago. :) Take care my friend. Stay in touch.
