game types;

Joy stick control, radar/ weapons lock used in C4.
1st and 3rd person view,
Stingers, hydras and cannons for weapons
2 flight models, the Apache requiring pilot and gunner, the Raw Pah single control for weapons and flight.
I would like to see the following in an updated or similar Comanche 4 game:
AntiCheat:
-cheater protection (something like punkbuster or what Nova uses now,
is better than nothing)
Player Names:
-Possibly the ability to have a protected Game username (so no other
players can use your username)
Game Types:
-Air and ground targets in Single player mode
-Coop missions
-DM
-TDM
Game attributes:
-Multi input controller compatibility and Force feedback support
-Retaining the technology as in C4 where stingers smartly track a target
without having to lock onto the target, but also better countermeasure
ability than in C4.
-A variey of aircraft models/skins
-the Co pilot idea sounds great (pilot and gunner).
Mission Building:
-This ability would be great. It breaks the monotony of just routinely going
through a fixed mission.
Modding:
-This capability would be great too. The C4 cummunity modders
can provide for us well appreciated new scenery and terrain. It's always a
plus to have this ability with a game. Look how long it's had us playing C4
without an update.
All of the above and....
More varity of terrains (instead of one retiled to look like 5 different ones.)
Weather, rain and snow (read it in another post sounded really cool)
Night vision (with night time ENV's)
More skyscraper buildings (only 2 1/2 types now)
Option to connect by IP (for when Nova does its random "updating")

I know CTF not very realistic but might be fun in choppers!
PSP- Progressive Spawn Points* (I think thats what those were called in BHD)
I like this well especially the co pilot mode
but the ultimate would be to invest more games nova so as to have a team of pilots in support of ground troops :thumb:

All of the above but Instead of helicopters how about if we were able to fly these around.

They would be faster flying than a helicopter. And imagine the terrain of a post nuclear earth.
In addition, the public would go absoulety crazy over something like this.
It would mean megga money for Nova!!
And that would mean we could stand a chance of getting what we wish for!!
I have not played a lot of online games, but of the ones I have played, C4 has been the most fun by far. I have made friends with my squad members<BKC> and still keep in touch with them. I miss the competition, friendship(among all squads) and hours of fun C4 brought. I wish Nova would either enhance the current C4 or give us a new one. I would buy it the day it hit the store.

Multiple types of helo's at least 1 with 2 ppl in it to function proper,1 gunner 1 pilot.

Tunnels. If not complete tunnel system then have short tunnels with 90 degree bend opening up into an indoor hanger of sorts.
Good Joy stick controls.
Anti-cheat of some sort.
Weather, rain, snow wind.All would affect the handling of the helo and the weaponry..
Better countermeasure's.
Heads up display night vision mode.
A new and realistic Targeting System.
If anyone is familiar with Comanche3's targeting system, though its been a while for me I vagly remember that you had to absolutly varifie the target before you pulled the trigger? It had a rectagular box that had to lock the traget and there was info beneath it that indicated what the object was...maybe it was another game I can't remember but there wasn't this big green circle "lock, gun and run" system like C4. Something a little more sophisticated but not something that would frustrate the hell of you. Something that could allow for pilot error, like in real life. If this makes sense, its early...or late depending on what part of the world your in.
Maybe Nova could take some lessons from these games...lol Chopper Games

Yeah, thats a good point GJ...it should be a bit more informative. I'd like to see a message that tells you how you were taken out. For example: "Aox received 3 stingers fired by GJ at 5000m from co-ordinates blah blah and stealth blah blah". Come to think of it, it'd be good to have some confirmation about the stinger thing to stop arguments about cheating, perhaps some indication of stingers fired and stingers hit. Hi you guys btw...aint played for a while...but that aint by choice. Aox

Every game after C4 had some type of anti cheat. Players were banned, Nova has a wall of shame for players busted in Nova servers. Squads also had a player created anticheat for BHD.
One of the reasons I felt this was a good time to petition Nova is because most of the stuff we want is in Joint Operations and DFX 2.
We are not asking for much more than a modded version of those games. The truth is if we could bring in one of the guys who codes the other game mods we could do this with out Nova. There are 2 problems with that even if a coder would help us.
The weapons in the other games work nothing like C4 first there is no weapons lock you get missles and guns u aim with the chopper. ( Nova would need to add weapons lock, heat seeking stingers, hydras).
pilot/gunner set up is already in JO and DFX 2.Original JO had missles control by pilot no gunner needed.
There is a tool to import BHD items to JO/DFX C4 items can be added to BHD already (not ai people), BHD has a drivable veh mod with choopers (no weapons?).
Weather affects (fog, rain, snow) day to night advance thru a map, has already been done in other games.
Much of the .wac scripting (controles things like weather, text messages to players, used by mappers/missions builders is server side, players don't need the wac files to see many of the effects and messages
To draw new players in we need a new release from Nova not a JO or DFX 2 mod, players will not want to buy a 4 year old game just to run a mod from it.
Even if Nova will do this, ( Nova generally does not respond to the community, They may see this as a good idea and never tell us.) it will not happen over night it may be a year or more before we get a new game. So we still need to look at C4 and still mod the game somewhat our selves to keep players interested. I still have stuff created for C4 none of the community has seen yet.
Not to take the wind out of anybodys sails just want everyone to understand most of what we want really is available now in the games Nova already released.
Lets do a poll of what we want to ask for then post the petition later this week.
As far as C4 goes now mabe by the end of the summer there may be some new stuff for the community to play with this winter.
We need the latest Graphics Engine, more capacity for creating weather (snow, rain, etc), more choices for map making, like new scenery and terrain options. New weapons loading options, new aircraft coloring, updated video quality (preferably HD), and overall game performance enhancements, to bring it up to Nova’s current standards for gaming performance.
All the above Plus ground forces. Imagine having to defend your base from ground forces while keeping an eye out for bogeys in the sky! The possibility of surviving a crash and requesting heli pick up.

I wish for...
The possibility to change your flying craft (just the look of it) from a Comanche, apachee, terminator hunter killer, etc etc
I also think that the very best ideas can be shown via poll questions.
May I suggest that there should be at least nine poll questions, and the top three make it to the wish list?
