Comanche 5 When??

Anyone know when the next comanche will be made??

Also will it be more like the old one's, specifically reffering to
realism on the flight model, I hope NL do not get discouraged
because the comanche program got cancelled by U.S Military.
This is an awesome chopper, the chopper has been
developed enough to make a true sim of the real chopper, with
all the capabilities and complexity it would've had!

Also, i would like to have the missions end by physically returning and land like in C3. That's how real missions work!! and this sim was always based on realism except for the last one. ??

WE fully support you NovaLogic in making a sequal with the
same entheusiasm you made comanche 1,2,3. 4 is good except for the realism, each sequal should improve on the next which NV did except for improving on the flight characteristics realism.

I've always been a dedicated fan since the first one was released, (back then 4mb of ram was needed to play the game, and that was a lot at that time, if you had 4 megs of ram, you had a monster PC :), the graphics was like none ever seen, revolutionary, still they continue to improve it with each title from such an impressive start.

Thanks Novalogic, Keep making this Military Sim. No one else can!

I have not seen any word on a next Comanche. Some have been asking for a couple of years. This same topic is posted at the nova community and has never received an answer from Nova. Along with the same question about a new tank sim. The tank sim was answerd tho. When Nova posted there were no plans to make a tank sim at this time. Since they wont answer about a helo sim maybe that's a good sign. But with Joint Operations as a new game and there will be another Delta force title. It may be a long while.

Personaly I would be suprised if anything related to Comanche comes from NL's camp at this time. Joint Ops seems to have opened a door to the relm of accuarte and current weapon's as most game's of this type are turning. Simulation that's closer to reality then not. Thus, where has the OICW gone?
These are weapon's the military is not as involved in as they once were due to the fact that conventional wars are being won with conventional weapons with a few high tech gadgets fitted and cost will be way less. The Comanche would seem more over kill then anything at this point in the game but don't be suprised if down the road theres something much deadly on the horizion that will make the Comanche seem more like a kiddy ride then a high tech wonder...we're over due.:cool:

Yep very true. The gamers of tomorrow will be doing real battle via remote controle. They are already are using it to some effect now. It will cost much less than a full size machine. How ever it will always take real soilders on the ground to win the war.

The government doesnt seem to realize there is no replacement for the "Human Factor" as they call it.

Well, the Comanche is not that way out of today's era. It's still a chopper, The best chopper that is. Yes as the reports emphasize,
too expensive. But not a mistake, i dont' see having a stealthy and quiete advantage as a set back or mistake like reports say.

But Gov. do the spending and i suppose they have to adhere.

Joint ops is good, but what about the aviation community, and variety, all i've been seeing for years from NV is DELTA FORCE, DELTA FORCE yes more DELTA FORCE and then some more, and
now yes YET again, another title. C'mon, I do like Delta Force,
But i,like many others like Comanche too. Don't NV like it? After
all Comanche started it all, they did the best job of making a environment closest to the real experience.

Something more deadly, if it's as cool as the Rah-66, bring 'em on!

I agree , I am sick to death now of 1st person shooters, tactics etc. I suppose the TV and the fact the Special Mil Units do this stuff is great, but as a former SF operator, they are pretend , silly use of a key board, and not as realistic as you would think. I talk here about the human element, not the game graphics etc
I am sick of them, hell I was a sniper, and there are no real true Sniper games out there, with real tactics, and huge planning phases done prior to any stalk or shoot em up
Anyway, my view, GIVE US NEW COMMANCHE STUFF, it will be back in real life!

there used to be a pretty good sniper game out there. bill gates would run back and forth accross the screen and you had to nail him with a scope. can't find the link tho

i would bet that here is your new Comanche in the form of a Apache or KA52 gator . and the new armoured fist also in the form of M1 abrams and i belive T80 or 90 http://www.checkpointdelta.net/showt...?threadid=2898 . as stand alone game's C4 AF3 F22L3 where all very good and fun game's af3 and f22l3 where released before C4 trust me there are still a small devoted couminity still playing them . but as charger said and i belive also Nl is following the current fashion , now some may and will say this is nothing more then bf serie's game's . NOT NL has allways done a fine job of weapon ballance in the game , since the release of JointOps NL has taken it's game into a different direction . the direction of total war with massive intense battel's 150 player nw server's if ya have the band width lol you may host up to 64 . i can tell you a battel with heck even 50 player's is wild and intense in the thick of battel . with the advent of JO team work is the key to winning pluss thoses of you who still have computer's with less then a gig in processor speed would have to upgrade in order to play a newer version of C4 that you can bank on !!

Mahaaaa!, Fs 2004's graphics are off charts that is way under
standard in comparison with C4, and C4 was made long ago.

I have not play'd Lock On, Il2 Sturmovik nor Combat FS,I have
seen screenshots though, I know
they cannot compare to Comanche's environment,

Look at ms fs 04, they just cannot create a environment that looks real when flying low altitude, you would think after so many titles before, they
would make something revolutionary, finnaly!, nope, sure there are a few improvements, none of which really makes me say this is an improved version. Still like it for it's realism though.


They might be good, but not compared to Nl's graphics.

quality of NL's software crew, developers, programmers, engineers, all of 'em!

Yep.. i saw that screenshot somewhere... but making an apache
or ka 52 sim would be downgrading.

Maybe microsoft's guys should create the aircraft, and Nl should make the graphics, but i'm sure NL will be able to make they're own aircraft with good realism right :) Flight model graphics is top notch.

.... I'll second watchtower, NL should not be held back by PC hardware.

I'm not rich, but i'll make sure my system will fly the next Comanche!

Gang, NL will not do it.
The ere has passed.
Before you know it, you will be in Command of a Global Hawk, circling half the know world.
The BUKA Game with the Kamov Alligator, Hokum, and Apache {yeah not even late Longbow series} is not bad, but again, they do not do what an RH-66 does.

Well i figured since Fs 2004 is made by microsoft, they must use the same graphics, but maybe i'm wrong i'll go and check the demo's of it, a10 thunderbolt, well 'll be checkin' that too!
