Macros Created Hades

I have previously taken a rather harsh stance against the use of the multifire macros. In the true spirit of Warfare, overkill usually ends up killing civilians. Without fail, I have ended up paying for this in my Kill \ Death Ratio.

Finally, after spending a very brief time alive on an unnamed servers site, and having to deal with restarting so much as to not even getting to see the whole map during a match... I sought out the program that would enable this on my computer. I tested it on different servers under the name of WarMonger and Cherokee. Funny thing, my fire patterns starting actually looking like the ones that have been fired at me... and my kill \ death ratio is suddenly in the positive region....hmmmm. But another thing has happened.. there are some pilots whose fire patterns now prove I was impressed wrongly.


Unfortunately, some rather fine virtual jockeys appear to feel the need for this... so to fly against them with even a hope, not loading it appears to be a fools folly.... but to me, it feels like hunting squirrel with a shotgun - on a tree with no leaves...whatever...

In order to prevent this from happening to the newer entries into the C4 arena... I would propose that the complete setup of your cockpit be revealed or what 'firepower' can be expected from your Comanche...

I have listed here the names that can be expected to carry the 'little extras' that ingenuity has provided and some feel is their 'right' to use...

What the heck - rumour has it that some NASCAR drivers will be allowed larger carbs and even the addition of Nitrous..

i was only recently introduced to using macros to unload your ordinance at unreal & unfair speed.

Reality: igniting just 2 missiles that close together would destroy your ship

Unfair: seams unfair to me & what about new players to the game?

Not sure the site admin is gonna let that name calling fly, Rüs... but at the least... it is a stance...

You know... even if it is 'just an opinion'... the least the pilots using the macros could do is provide the same for everyone on that server... just as everyone has the basic components to load the games from other servers... without the need to download a mod...OR... let everyone know that their commanche is currently equipped to 'multifire' the payload...

ok here it goes . . .

why are you complaining about a ARCADE GAME!!! if you want realism goto Comanch gold and see just how hard it is to fly a helocopter . . . a helo is on of THE hardest things to fly . . . and this game makes it look like childs play . . .

hence a arcade game.

now . . . people are going to buy joysticks, why? well they want more realistic control and options. i own 6 joysticks. my current set up has 64X2 functions settings if i so which per each stick. i use a throttle stick and a fighter stick i even have pedals which include foot breaks. this cost me 300$, i dont make a lot of money . . . maybe 18K a year . . . and i own a car and pay rent. needless to say i saved for this and for a good reason . . . i play SO many games that are in a cockpit . . .

now . . . the number of players on C4 that own joysticks is far more than half . . . even if they can not program a joystick they own they sure can just hold down that ol fire button . . . BUT!!!! you can do this if you are using keyboard too!!!!! just hold down that ol ENTER button . . .

now to say it is unrealistic to be able to pull a trigger 70ms apart is not true . . . i can proove this . . . i own a paintball gun that i shaved the trigger down to make it lighter . . . i can fire 14 balls a secon that is just as fast as the fully autos out there and i am using a semiauto . . . 1000/14 = what 71.43 . . . or about 70 ms . . . BUT now why would i want to risk my figger getting mess up for life because i want to fire that fast all the time . . .HENCE people that make these games have it so if you HOLD down the key it continues to fire . . .

the only problem is by defualt you fire at 0ms delay . . . now you all have felt this . . . you are flying then next thing you know you see someone and you start to fire at them while dodging. then suddenly you notice you are lagging to the moon and back and you see 1 stinger hit you and you are dead . . . that 1 stinger was really all 28 . . . but it laged you so much you only saw one . . . there is no escape from this other than not playing or slowing down the rate of fire . . .

so what did i do . . . i started to program my stick to slow down its rate of fire . . . my stick is programmed to 40ms, that is any button i press will not press again till 40ms has passed . . . BUT i found that was still too fast . . . so i pul a NULL button between my firing of weapons and flairs . . . lo and behold i can kill with only 6 and not cuase lag . . now the ms on my trigger, since the spaces are tehre, is more like 80ms . . . so i figured great . . .

for me that is . . . BUT i was still getting TONS of lag when people just hold down that ENTER or fire button . . . so i got fed up with it. and spent hours looking for a free program all can download to slow down there rate of fire and increase proformance of the game. . . i found that 70 ms was very close to myy 80ms and did the same thing so i set that standard. and suggested it only takes about 6 to kill. . .

believe it or not everything EVERYONE does is sent to everyones pc . . .that is if everyone fired at each other and i was no involved i would still get that info . . . and lag my butt . . .

if you two and maybe others out there want us all not to use macros . . . ok BUT you will creat more lag . . . then who will be compaining for a solution . . .

i am trying to help you all out there . . . and this is it . . . inso has told me himself he can not control the rate of fire with a program . . . so get over it . . .

if you took a vote today on keeping the macros or not you would loose by great numbers . . . 80% of the piolets out ther euse a joystick . . . then some use mouse and keys then others use keys . . . Bori from law, a great piolet no? i think so he has given me hours of challenging fun . . . he has NEVER! complained about myy rate of fire . . . why is that . . . he fires faster (at current time) AND I SHOULD POINT OUT he uses a mouse and keyboard...

so the simple fact you to dont want to use macros and you want to use keys and mouse if fine BUT with out the macros you will lag others far more than with out it . . .

when i told inso this idea and showed him the post he said "what you expect everyone to slow down there triggers because you said so?" . . . you know whats funny . . . i told all those ppl in my post that if they did they would score more because there would be less lag and less usage of stingers . . . and i get people coming up to me daily and telling me how much better this is than firing all 28 in a matter of 1 sec while holding down that fire button . . . so think what you want . . .

the fact you are against the 70ms delay is fine as long as you plan not to hold down that fire button . . . the moment you do i expect you to change . . . some servers are so laged i fire my stingers 1 sec apart . . .


oh and Rustinsk . . . if 80%+ of ppl fire faster than 70 ms and they join your server and get booted then that is 80%+ that will not play on your server . . . if you are that pressed i will GIVE you my old joystick(not for free though :) hehehe) . . . which is a CH Force Fx and pedals . . . analog . . . BUT even with that you will still fire more than 70ms. . . so it is pointless

Dang Ghost... you post just as fast as you pump out maps... I posted what appears to be an answer to this one in -Simple Fix- thread ....while it was being posted here.

After the conversation with Inso, I am also convinced that macros are here to stay... but look... let's drop the support lent by 'every one is doing it' ... and look at ways to bypass the bs - without programming...

Alternative... Identify the 'offensive' lag creators and give them an alternative place to play.. I'm out of it at this point... My kill \ death ratio will reflect I'm not in this to 'protest' being at a disadvantage... but from the first day of posting at CPD, I was warned... the real argument is whether you help the community...

It would be nice to see 30 or 40 servers offering a place to play... and hundreds of players ( instead of 30 to 40 to oppose)... this is not going to happen if we keep killing the new players the instant they 'fly in'...

As I said, I'm out of it, (If'n I can git out fast enough...) I'd prefer not to fall into the 'methinks thou dost protest to much' corner... it become wearisome to read and many will lose sight of the key points.

FYI.. That tunnel maze map is a bear. Wish there was something that could be done with the 'spongy' property of the tunnels while flying low tho..

i am working on that problem and i most likely will add a BOTTOM to the tunnels as i have in the past BUT we will see :)

Let me explain this in easy to understand words:

There are many out there, including myself and Rüstinsk who do not appreciate what I term as LOSERS who use trainers, cheats, macros or anything else becaue they lack the ability to play the game and just 'have' to have that winning edge.

I've been in online games for about 9 yrs now and have seen just about everything that these jerkoff's game hackers have made and give to people to cheat with.

We're sick and tired of seeing comments posted about people using it and where to get it and how it works. If you don't like the server you're playing on, THEN JUST LEAVE IT AND FIND ANOTHER ONE! If you're going to use it, don't brag about it, we don't wanna hear it, then you won't get people flaming you and your post.

If this is the case... is the timing between rounds an identifiable transfer and a possible tag... just as the Easy / Normal / Advanced modes are... making the offender traceable ? Hmmm... just wondering.

Edited to Include: I am eliminating all hints concerning the 'cheats' and where to locate them that I can find... I fail to see the sarcasm offered in the post as bragging (my sincere apologies if it was taken as such) . Perhaps heated debate will refine the argument...

This can of worms needs closing. And I hope people do not also take advantage by opening threads under 'helpful' hints - only to provide sneaky ways to cheat.

By all means...Macros and trainers used in on-line multiplayer games are somewhat foolish and unfair to those who are stern to play the game in a reasonable fair manner. A big part for the creation of these cheats is a person inability to deal with packet lose and another players ability to play the game really well without cheats. We tend to get a little frustrated and thus…someone designs something to enhance his or her way of playing. When I played Tribes and Tribes 2 all the time it was good because if you didn’t like the way someone was playing, it was possible to vote them off the server, you could just boot them right the (censored) out and there wasn’t anything they could do about it. But again if you happen to host a site where you want macros and/cheats of any kind then that’s your prerogative. I am in agreement to one major factor on this forum, that cheats of any kind really do not belong being posted on theses pages because there are a lot of hard working folk who would rather play a fair and descent game. You guys need to come down from the perch and realize that this is only a game and if you have to cheat to win…well your really just losers in my book. :flames:

BLUETIEREIGN (reply first to you separately) : how do you think we are able to see if someone is 8h or 3h ? :)


ok to all else . . . i did not creat some program nor do i use one when i play that enhances my game play . . . what do i use then do you ask . . . a joystick that you can program . . .just like any other HIGH end joystick out there . . .

no one has made trainers for C4 . . . and if you dont want us to cheet should we take AE away? NO!!! BUT AE modifies the game play . . .

to ARTICWOLF . . . if you dont know what is going on in this discution dont comment. If you feel like you should read everything that was written so you can comment fairly. the macros program has been recanted. the was before your post or i would not mension it.

AND to charger and artic i insist there are NO CHEETS . . . there are program flaws which inso has been working diligently on but no cheets.

and let me restate that 80% or more of the people that use a joystick can program it with the software required for that stick to be used . . . you can not get rid of macros coming from a joystick . . .
the reasons of macro use may be different for most people but i myself do it so i do not injur my hands from having to constantly press a button 2million times.

if you are so young that you can by all means do it . . . i have been typeing since i was 8 and these hands are in bad shape, and i have minor carpal tunnel. . . if you are going to sit there and say i cant use a joystick function to fire more than one shot because it will hurt my hands other wise i am just going to ingnor you. . .


and let it be REINSTATED (though i have reapeated it TONS of times) the macros (though not posted if you see) was an attempt to STOP some lag . . . it was only out there because i failed to realize you could adjust the keyboard settings. IN WHICH i have posted a NEW POSTING ON with the same title + wo/macros . . .
