graphical glitch?

Hi,

Can you help with a weird problem? I just got Comanche 4, and it works great, except for one glitch. When I select Hellfire missiles, a thin green box appears on the screen. The box seems to be the same size as the Hellfire missile's target lock range. I have tried the Nvidia 28.32 and 30.82 drivers and still have the problem. I have contacted Novalogic tech support, and they suggested trying the WHQL drivers (which I did - 30.82 are WHQL), which did not help.

Is this green box normal?

My machine: 1 Ghz Pentium 3; Gainward ti4200 128MB video card, 256 MB RAM.

So the box is normal? Just to be sure, it's a really big box that is almost as big as the screen in 3rd person view. It looks like the line of the box is 1 or 2 pixels wide.

We all have this box come up when selecting hellfire’s, from what I understand is, the area that the on-board computers maps out for gps targets so your able to hide behind a mountain and the hellfire should go directly to the target once its locked in. I could be wrong about this so don't quote me but its the closest thing I could find on the idea of the box. It is laser targeting related tied into the on-board computers and GPS system.

Ahh... excellent! That's the box I'm talking about. So it's not a graphical glitch at all. I think it's kinda funny that Novalogic tech support didn't tell me that... they had me try different video drivers and wanted me to update my chipset INF files (which I didn't too- too scary!).
