I’m not a scholar by any means, but I do remember from grade school learning of this little colony (USA) gaining our independence. In no small part from the help of France, our allies.
For over two centuries we have assisted and protected our allies from threat and invasion. We defended France in WW1 and in WW2. Many of American lives were lost. In WW2 we were not quick to get involved in Germanys invasions, but nonetheless were there to defend and liberate France.

The hostility that I feel toward France now is not so much of anger, but more of betrayal by a family member. France did not feel the same pain and lingering fear after the attack of 9/11, but I feel they should. France should put their economic interests aside and realize that this threat could, and will threaten them as well.

In anger I want to say, “screw France”, but France is family. We all have a family member that we hate and still love.

Just my thoughts…

Hey,
what if we don't have a family member we hate? Should we get one , LOL!

Just thinking about this....and it pisses me off BIG TIME..........we have a FRENCH Primeminister who regected to send troops to Iran althougth the majority of Canadians supported it.....he decided to stick with his French counterpart.........as i think more who saved their asses twice this passed century first in 1917 and 1945 if it wasn't for the mass of troops sent from Canada and the USA ...were would Europe be today.......

And I dont support the desision that my gouverment took not sending troops to assist American , British and the other coilition troops in the ousting of the Iraqi regime.
