Question. I downloaded the dlgedit.zip and .pff extract utilities.

I have a couple questions;

1. How can I extract the .wav from a .dbf file?

2. What are the .pwf and .bin files I read about in the readme.txt file? ( guess I need to create these if I'm going to use my own .wav)

3. is there a tutorial that goes step by step on creating your own sounds?

As always, thank you.

i can't answer all of this at this time, but i can direct you a bit until someone can expand on this...

1. the dbf file is basically a listing of the sound files in the pwf

2. the pwf file is a compilation of wav files seperated merely by a few second pause.

3. no real tutorial that i know of.

the reason there is little work done on tutorials in this matter is that any changes made to these files would require that the changes made be by all. by that i mean that any changes that you make will only by realized by you that make the changes. unlike a map that you make that is loaded by all players, the sound files are are local. you can create a new dbf file, referring to your own custom wav sounds, but only those that have your custom dbf & pwf file installed will hear these wav files.

if after this this you wish to persue this, i would be happy to help.
