Sorry if this hase been discussed, but I'm a new member.

How can you make a SAR Team drop from a helo and then hoist them back in the helo like one of the missions in C4?

I can't say that I remember this being an available MED option in Comanche 4. It might be, but I have never seen it done outside of the Stock Maps. In Black Hawk Down it is possible with the use of an Anim event - something that the MED in C4 doesn't offer.

I'll do some checking on this.

Blue is probably right because I believe I heard that the SAR team descending helo is an animated insert, made just for that part. I've never been able to duplicate it with the editor or have I heard of anyone else doing it either. As I said don’t quote me on it...if you happen to figure it out I sure would like to hear about it. :cool:

I'll do some checking on this. wonder if a wac file like in bhd would control this ??? i'll look see by the way which mission is this for let's just extract it and convert it lol

You can do what you are asking to do... but it looks like you cannot get the results of BHD.

The chopper with the anim loaded is called the Seahawk. However, unlike the Blackhawks in other Nova games, the floors and walls don't appear to be very solid. The AI have a tendency to simply fall through both - the reason, I think, the mission ends where it does. Also, the additional set of instructions for the AI to 'let go' of the rope don't seem to be included... I directed the AI to other vehicles, but it seemed to be attached permanently after being attached to the seahawk.

I have included two types of seahawk/AI transfers - both created in the unlocked med found in the downloads section. One picks up, one drops off. The dropoff is actually an illusion. Since the AI won't ride in the choppers - I teleported one to the unload waypoint. Since they won't let go of the rope - the AI is destroyed and a replacement teleported to the 'dropoff' point. I can't see either being very useful because only one can be carried when picked up... and, for me anyway, troops can't be moved without setting up teleportation.

Try making some of your own adjustments - the mis files are included. Ed has spent many more hours with the editors than I have... there is a good chance he can come up with something I missed.
