we used kk's viewer for landwarrior & with wildman2's help, watkins did all the C4 terrain 3d images with bryce.

i asked wats about making a viewer for tfd, but he's too busy these days to do much.

my abilities are limited to the C, H, & D images. if you need help there, let me know.

let me ask wats & wildman, maybe we can come up with the 3d pics & the old source code, that would save ya a little time.

If people are willing to give up code, I'll make changes (provided I can figure it out) and publish it with the proper credits for the work of course.

since im having a birthday celebration for my son and my self tomarrow i suspect(i know) that a copy of TFD wil be next to the cake.Sooo if you need some 3d shots of the terrain i believe i can help you out with that part of it.

I think that I can speak for all of us involved in the Land Warrior terrain viewer project by saying that a TFD terrain viewer should be a NovaSheep endeavor.

We; Watkins, Othello, Wildman2, and myself don’t need any recognition; we really just want the tool.

If the source will make that easier, that’s great!

If any mention is needed it should be to Wildman2 for rendering the TFD 3D terrains.

It’s always a given that we will ask you to host your tools… lol

I'm not out for recognition either, I just want the tool and as always anything that I create for myself, I know the DF communitity can benifit from it as well.

I'll looking for the 3D terrain pics to add to a an Item Viewer that coding is now complete on but I'm waiting on the pics of the items from TFD.

Also I'm finishing the Manual on the TFD Random Object Generator as I write this, so that program should be available to the public this weekend.

I'll see what I can do with the code from the 3D viewer. I'll let you all know.

Thanks Again

Wildman that would help greatly.

That's what Im looking for and after reviewing the code for the Terrain Preveiwer, it doesn't render the 3D terrains. That's what I was looking for.

If I can get the 3D pics I can update the Viewer for TFD it's pretty straight forward code from the looks of it.

Thanks Guys.

any particular size H x W and type jpg etc...

Well not know how these things are made I don't know if I can give you a height and width. However the end result will be a square image. So if you could do either 1024x1024 or 512x512 that would be good. I would think that you would do the same as the images that are in the Terrain Viewer for LW. Since Im going to update for TFD it would be best to keep them the same. As for the format, I think JPG would be best.

You can email them to pappy@novasheep.com when they are done and I'll add them to the program.

Thanks.

the size of the lw 3d images were around 770x245. but there was no particular reason for that other than that maybe the kk viewer rendered them around that size.
