No FF on my LW Strike Force

OK, I'm new here. I don't have a lot of experience with flight sims of any kind, but I got myself C4 at a pretty good price last year, and for Christmas I bought myself this Logitech Wingman Strike Force, because it was also cheaper than at the beginning of last year.

I've configured all the buttons to do something, except for the hat switches (I think C4 can only see one), but I can't get any FF from it. It is checked in the options screen in the game, and I'm using the profiler software that came with the stick, because if I don't I only rotate without much control over anything else. I see some other guys here have also had that problem, btw. I'd really appreciate some help on the FF though. I've already downloaded the big patch from Novalogic, but it didn't make any difference.

1-Download all the patches from Novalogic and then give it a try :)))

2-Download the 4.20 version of the Profiler on Logitech and then give it a try:))

Is there more than one patch at Novalogic? I thought they only had the one big one...
I did download version 4.20 of the profiler software the other night, but I haven't had a chanche to play C4 after installing it.
It did make a difference to Mig Alley though - I had no altitude or throttle control (unplayable, in other words) and now everything works, but I still don't have FF there either. I thought I'd mention that in SimHQ's Mig Alley forum, but they were down for maintenance last night, and you were so kind as to bring it up... :)

Naah, still no FF after installing v4.20 of the profiler software... :(

I'm gonna have another look at what they have at Novalogic.

Edit: The update wizard says no update is needed. Is that reliable?
