View Full Version : C4 Cargo Ships?
I'm want to make a mission for C4 with storage units on top of a cargo ship; but when I try it is inside of the ship. What should I do?

increase the Z value to deck level, you will have to experiment with the correct height. try around 8m to start.
note: the ship must be stationary. the items you place on it will not move with the ship

Just remember that no matter where you place the cargo ship as long as it's on the water..the z value of the ship will be 0 so you'll have to set the storage units with a higher z value up from there. I just placed one on the deck at around z value of 7 ,or even 8 as Rus stated. Try that for a reference point and then check it out in the game to see if it looks good. I used the 3d wireframe to set it but when you deal with the water element you don't always get what you see after setting things with wireframe .

Thanks, that answered a few questions. On one mission delta force was on a moving raft, how can I do that?

AI (people) will move on moving vehicles (if they don't fall off)
AI will fall, so set the z value of the AI high (try 40m) so that the vehicle is generated prior to the AI falling onto it. also, use an event to start the vehicle moving so that you can delay its start long enough for the AI to fall on it
What a helicoptor on a boat?
