View Full Version : Mine field ?
:boxe: ** Delta Force TFD **
I'm trying to make a mine field. I have it so when you enter a certain area you are knocked back and killed but there's no explosion.
Is there any way to place one there, with sound.
Thanks for any help you can give,
Savy......

1. To give the effect of a land mine blowing , place an empty explosion make it its own group . The empty explosion
will be group 3 (land mine ), We have an area trigger called area trigger 1 (land mine ); this will be
placed around the empty explosion that is to be destroyed. For the first event we will say IF group
1 is within area trigger 1 (land mine ), THEN kill group 3 (land mine ) make all player starts blue team good blue unless its tdm or other tm gm type . its good to place a bush by the mine because after ya lay the marker it will not show back up . but its there . for more then 1 land mine follow the steps for each mine or group's of mine's yes the erea trigger can discharge more then 1 mine . be carefull of the blast radious its about 16m so as not to place the mines to close to each other

Though Ed's suggestion is considered the 'correct' way, I have seen other's use a different technique.
Take a Dagger Barrel and give it a -2 z value and a group identity, something like Group 3 - Booby Trap Barrel. Surround this with an area trigger. Set up an event that eliminates 'Group 3' when players enter the area.
The disadvantage to this is that the explosion of one barrel delivers a 'deathblow' to a very small area... so you need to set it up in situation where the players are confined in their movement , such as an entrance...( or add more barrels to Group 3 )
Hope this helps.....and, hehehe, have yourself a BLAST. :tumble:
Thanks guy's I appreciate it.......
Learning as i go if ya know what i mean !!!
