Is anyone still playing C4???

Hi All DAD here yes there is some of those who are still fly&dieing in C4, I do have two servers up and running 24/7 -=C4=- TDM and the other is the RAT SERVER located in Vancouver B.C. connection is fiber optic so it fast my ping time is 16ms but you still need to log on to NovaWorld2 first before you can log on to server list. Im playing;0 I think this is one of the best games i ever played. But i dont know how to play for Russian helicopter instead comanche, im from Russia :) I play this game from the school. Here, you can made massive battles because the game has low hardware requirements, i love the models, water, islands...

I still play it and I am a big fan of it. The most thrilling first person shooter ever (not simulation). Try to download my patch witch fixes the AI's missile turn rate bug:

otherwise you can't evade missiles witch makes campaign pretty hardcore to beat.

Wondering if people are still playing Novalogic games. They seem pretty prehistoric compared to whats out now. Can't say I miss the games but I sure do miss this site and all the activity there of.

Hey DAD ! I just got her back up and running. It's been a major undertaking, as something really chewed the database to shreds. I had actually mothballed the site, as I couldn't find the time to update it, so nobody could post. In the 17 years since I've been here, I've gotten married and had 2 more kids and bought a house. Time is a luxury, lol. Thank you so much for dropping in and giving a shout.

Just an FYI. I have been in contact with Scott at DFHQ, and he is considering offering an alternative to Novalogic/THQ's lobby. Scott is about the same age as I was when I first haunted these forums. His energy is something this old community can definitely use - cause old age is robbing me of mine, lol. I'll keep you updated.

Hi Blue, both servers are running XP Pro, No problems to host custom map except one:rolleyes: I would need help with doing so and for the chat program I don't have one installed at this time on my new computer, I do still have yahoo messenger.

Umm... yes and yes... but not directed at you. As you are aware, editing posts is a retroactive option. A weak password becomes a compromised account and then we could have every one of their posts wiped or deleted. The long and short of it is that the damage to the DB was extensive.. even mothballing the site didn't stop it. Due to the attack, the server itself has been tweaked with much tighter mod_security rules. Even I have to edit some things on my server here and upload directly to the DB. I will turn down the time between posts tomorrow, but the rest will be a little slower coming online. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. It's good to see you bud.

I have an intrusion defense system specifically built for php web systems. Its also intended to run on linux, tho it will work on windows too. would require no changes to the vbulletin system, but would take a huge bite out of bot traffic, and drive by exploit bots. As long as your willing to heed the do not distribute clause i could pass you a copy of it, i own the intellectual rights to it. It was designed to defend a php social networking site from everything imaginable. 5 years of development into it atm.

BTW, im a cyber security engineer these days. All that hacking in C4 paid off it seems, and i have the credentials to prove it. Good times.

Well, since I've been flying few of the DJI Drones the last couple of years, I decided to get the mavic and the DJI goggles. Using an HDMI cable off one of the 970's to the goggles. It's a cool experience for C4, but the game isn't really optimized for it. There is no 'free look' mode (where you move your head and your view adjusts with it) that I can find. This may not be true with newer games, I can't really say. I do know that with the mavic, you can fly a path, but look around by simply turning and tilting your head.

I don't believe that is an option. The goggles are essentially the monitor plugged into one of my graphics cards - not a peripheral device. If I remember correctly, when you are tracking with your mouse, you are also turning the aircraft. That is not what I want to do. I'd prefer to be going one way and looking another.

It's a nice little Win7 box I bought as a server to monitor my cameras. Wasn't really ideal for video surveillance (I have quite a few cameras on the property), so I replaced it. All of that equipment has backup power and communication - something I'm not going to do with this server. I'm going to play with it this weekend, and see what it will do. I'll keep your offer in mind, thanks.

Well, I got it up and running, but its not working correctly. I've got the game running (v20), but host manager keeps screaming to be in host only - which I am. On my big computer, it gives me some other kind of runtime error. So, it looks like Host Manager is not an option for me. I'll have to weed out the maps, put in on cycle and hope for the best. No Height Explode or any other extras.

I also can't find the game on my network to join on server on LAN. I'm tired. I'll try to find some time later this weekend.
