UPDATE:
Nova is apparently going through a move. It was supposed to be back up by the weekend. They have been known to do this when they are getting ready to introduce a game.
Could it be ?

1616 Actually i found this file already on my PC lol ill try to add it here!!
It striks me that we also need to set a good time of day to log in to our server (otherwize this whole exersize is pointless)
Or can anyone put up a server and leave it running 24/7?
Ive copy and pasted the instructions too!!
To use the Join By IP option you will need IPRip. This is a small IPRipper for DFLW but works with C4.The IPRip program will encode an IP address so you can join a server by LANIP. The server MUST be serving a game by LANIP for you to join by LANIP. A LANIP server will not be listed on the Nova Game Lobby. If someone is serving a LANIP game you will have to get their IP address and password if any. Is is not polite to join anyones LANIP unless you are invited or the LANIP address is posted for public use.
Step 1: Make sure Comanche 4 not running. Download IPRip and place IPRip.exe in the C4IP folder that's within your Comanche 4 folder. Click on IPRip.exe.
Step 2: Type in the IP address like the example and replace port :11760 with :17479. Click create StartUp.htm. IPRip will create a STARTUP.HTM file or overwrite the STARTUP.HTM that is within the C4IP folder.
Step 3: Close IPRip then run Comanche 4. Go to Multiplayer/Novaworld. You should be able to click on 'Join by IP' and that link will refresh you to the LANIP address you typed in the IPRip program.
Special Thanx to Wasly Brain, Moscow, Russia for Real IP for Delta Force: Land Warrior v1.14
Here are a few places to download this handle tool.
This is important!!
Dont use your usal C4 shortcut, instead go to your C4 folder and click on the C4LAN game icon itstead!!
If you are hosting then use your normal shortcut but the session type must be set to "lan IP" and not a novaworld session
PS dont forget to turn of any firewalls
PPS i have put. up a server called "SD to the rescue", can anyone can join it?? ill leave it up for aslong as possible

I finally did find the file at one of the sights listed in the instructions, but I have not been able to get connected.
SoDam I would like to try to connect to your server but I would need the IP address to do so, right?
I also saw some other gamers talking about setting up a VPN to play though using hamachi, has anyone heard of that?
Just wish Nova would get their chit together so we don't have to go through all this crap but it's obvious now we do need alternatives!!

Once you have installed the IP program!! Its at the bottom of this page!
Carefully folowing the instructions above, you should get to see this page (aslong as i have my server up)!

Join my server and enjoy C4 again
Apparantly flares actually work and take a few stinger hits when using LAN IP
Basicly this program redirects a local LAN serch to the internet and conduts the serch using your internet connection instead, i have never used hamachi i have never needed to, so i dont know how easy or difficult it is to use, but i do know using this IP ripper is very easy!!

Sodam
I cannot get the C4IP to install on windows 7 64bit - in ANY compatibility. You can't be serious about searching each and every IP address on the internet and finding your server. Even if it would - I don't have the weeks or even months it would take to find your server. In order for us to join your server, you need to provide an IP.

:puzzled: Yes .. Need your IP address Sodam ... also do you copy the startup.htm file created by IPrip to your C4 folder?

If anyone is interested in trying to play on a server using EasyVPN (http://www.comodo.com/home/download/download.php?prod=easyvpn).. I have an account and network started. I've never done this before, so this is trial and error.
I will start a server, run EasyVPN and give you the ip to join.
The network is called comanche4. The password is freedomfighters. The IP appears to be:
5.2.102.5

Yes, the startup file created by IPRip needs to go in your C4 folder. Be sure to put the origial in a safe place. We still need somebody's IP that is willing & able to put up a game!

OK, Black Dog and I actually got a game going using the Comanche4 EasyVPN hookup. I will start a thread with the instructions.

Latest from Novalogic / Novaworld
Below is a current list of services under construction. If you have discovered an issue with a service that is not on this list you can help us out by emailing a description to information@novalogic.com * The multiplayer lobby * The validation of recently purchased games * The game exit process (which currently crashes) * DFX key validation for specific users * The Gold Service for specific users.
Novaworld is now up and running. We are about 80 percent done with the infrastructure but are still working on bringing everything back up to speed. We know that there will still be some lags and errors and we appreciate everybody's patience. We are looking forward to getting back to gaming as usual.
Last week, Novalogic's scheduled server downtime allowed us to integrate our development and server centers in order to accommodate better gaming experiences. During this process we identified several improvements that could be addressed before going back online. We've decided to extend the downtime to see these changes through. NovaWorld has been running for 13 years with hardly any interruptions, and was due for a major upgrade. We understand this may be a frustrating inconvenience for our customers, but we'll try to ease the process by posting updates here on our home page and on Twitter.
